Ik woon al 7 jaar in Barcelona en klets heel wat af in het Spaans. Ik help graag met de spraakvaardigheid van de leerling. Grammatica wordt vaak tijdens schoollessen of zelf studie behandelt, daarom is het juist zo belangrijk om extra aandacht te geven aan het spreken! Tijdens het praten kunnen moeilijkheden en grammaticale problemen uiteraard worden besproken en uitgelegd.

Jaren geleden heb ik Nederland verlaten voor zonovergoten Spaanse dagen gevuld met tapas en wijn. Natuurlijk moet er ook in Spanje gewoon gewerkt worden ;) in Barcelona doe ik dit als gids door de stad en als medewerker in een hostel. Ik ben dus altijd onder de mensen en klets graag over boeken, cultuur en andere landen.

Na een VWO opleiding ben ik afgestuurd voor mijn BBA in Tourism Management aan de NHTV in Breda. Twee semesters van mijn studie heb ik afgerond in het prachtige Mexico.

My name is Irene. I come from Guadalajara, a town close to Madrid, but live in beautiful Barcelona.

I understood very early that I like not only learning but also teaching languages and studied my Masters of Linguistics Applied to Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. I have lived in France, India, Germany and Russia teaching Spanish. During these 15 years of teaching, I learnt a lot about different methods, people and logics.
I use a variety of resources (textbooks, articles, small videos, audios...) providing examples, exercises and homework so that what is to be learnt is doable and designed for your learning preferences. I adapt my classes to what students want and need so they make the most of their time and money.

I think it is very important for students to feel comfortable and safe. It is also essential that what we do and talk about in class makes sense and is relevant for you. It is your goal and personal style of learning what will define our classes.

I also speak English, French, German and Russian. I can explain in the student′ s mother tongue if necessary although my goal will be to speak Spanish from the very beginning with affordable exercises adapted to your level.
