I'm Mary from Berlin. I'm a teacher and piano composer with 15 years of experience and also teach at a music school. I also have a bachelor's degree in teaching English. If you're interested in teaching your children how to play the piano in addition to theoretical knowledge, I'd be happy to help you. I prefer to adapt my lessons to the needs and wishes of my students. I believe that the teacher's main goal in the first lesson is to encourage students so that he or she can soon play the music of a famous composer and composer, cultivating a love of music in students' hearts from day one. I love my job. I teach Russian, German, and English in my apartment on Wilmersdorfer Str., Berlin, or online lessons.

I am very satisfied with the English lessons and can only recommend Toby. With his teaching style, he creates a wonderful working and learning atmosphere in which I come out of class motivated every time. He conveys structure, explains connections and a certain logic in terms of grammar. He is excellently able to adjust to the respective level of the student. He quickly recognized my weaknesses, which he specifically focuses on. What more could you want?

Toby is an excellent English teacher. I wanted to focus on my pronunciation and accent. He patiently worked together with me using various methods. I loved so much how he taught me English. And I started hearing from multiple friends that my English had improved. Significantly! These compliments made my days :) I would be pleased to recommend him.

Marta
Hiya,

My name is Marta, I am Spanish student doing a Master's degree at UCD, and that's the reason why I am living in Blackrock, Dublin. I come from Valencia and I studied my BA in Humanities in Barcelona, specializing in Linguistics and Literature and finishing it in Puebla, Mexico, after having been awarded with a Santander Scholarship to study there for 6 months.

I am very curious about Linguistics and understanding the basis of different languages and the differences between them, as I think each language reflects a way of seing the world for their speakers. My first languages are Catalan and Spanish, and I also speak Italian and English. During my time in Barcelona, I taught Latin for high school students and Spanish and Catalan for foreign people. I had a great time doing so and could learn about the difficulties that non-Spanish speakers face when it comes to grammar or memorizing some vocabulary related to their field of interest.

After being happily adapted to my new life in Dublin, I decided it's time to get back to work and offer clases de lengua to:

-to those that are curious and want to start to learn some Spanish (or Catalan!!)

-to those who want to improve their Spanish or need some help to pass a certificate level

-to those who just look for someone to practice their Spanish with while having a tea or a walk*

+ I am open to talk about specific cases, like if you want me to mind your children + make them start to be familiar with a second language.

*For those who just want to improve their conversational skills while having a tea, my interests are arts and culture, sociology, psychology and history (my master's in International War Studies so I love to talk about current issues). I also enjoy travelling and getting to know other cultures and people. Otherwise, I am a very curious and respectful person and I am always willing to learn and talk about new things and acquire new interests.

In case you are interested, feel free to contact me to ask me any question or talk about your needs and preferences!

Adios adios :-)
