Conversation + is a new conversation based format that combines grammar, syntax, understanding vocabulary and expressions as well as the practice of correct pronunciation and intonation with the reading of a text of your choosing. On the basis of a selected text the conversation evolves around the topics at hand; parallel to this, we discuss anything language-related that comes up. Any question, any problem can be addressed. In this way, linguistic issues can be explored in greater depth, based on your specific field(s) of interest. This fosters a stronger engagement, promotes enthusiasm, and openness that oftentimes fall short in a classic language course situation.

Fields of interest include

literature - we read a book, poem, short-story, etc
philosophy - we read german philosophy in the original, or secondary work on the subject
art - texts concerning art, theater, music etc.
science - scientific articles, specialized literature about science
politics - newspaper articles, essays, etc.

Drawing is a tool that allows us to understand our surroundings and ourselves.

I graduated from an art school where I learned all the important classical techniques of drawing, painting and sculpture. I would like to pass on the knowledge I have acquired through my studies and practice and give those who so wish the opportunity to go on a journey into the world of art and improve their language and technique.
The lessons are open to all levels.

The techniques covered range from drawing with pencil, charcoal and pastel chalk to all painting styles (watercolor, oil, acrylic, tempera). You have the opportunity to experiment on different types of paper (with different weights and colors) and canvases.

The topics change from lesson to lesson and can range from the human body to the landscape to the wildlife, depending on your preferences and desires.

Particular attention is paid to the method so that the finished work is clean, pleasant and as expressive as possible.

Hiya,

My name is Marta, I am Spanish student doing a Master's degree at UCD, and that's the reason why I am living in Blackrock, Dublin. I come from Valencia and I studied my BA in Humanities in Barcelona, specializing in Linguistics and Literature and finishing it in Puebla, Mexico, after having been awarded with a Santander Scholarship to study there for 6 months.

I am very curious about Linguistics and understanding the basis of different languages and the differences between them, as I think each language reflects a way of seing the world for their speakers. My first languages are Catalan and Spanish, and I also speak Italian and English. During my time in Barcelona, I taught Latin for high school students and Spanish and Catalan for foreign people. I had a great time doing so and could learn about the difficulties that non-Spanish speakers face when it comes to grammar or memorizing some vocabulary related to their field of interest.

After being happily adapted to my new life in Dublin, I decided it's time to get back to work and offer clases de lengua to:

This course focuses on the search for a personal language or the student's style, in which different techniques and styles, both traditional and digital, will be worked on to help the student find a language with which they feel comfortable and make it their own.

Drawing is a natural skill for everyone; but if you are looking for a more artistic approach for this practice, you can count on me! During my classes you will learn techniques to upgrade your level of drawing to have a more naturalistic way of representation. I will teach you how to observe shapes and tones, to loose your hand, to improve the quality of your strokes, and I will focus in anatomical drawing by teaching you the easiest way to get the right proportions and being able to draw a person with or without a model. But you can also bring your own interests! We will use pencil, pen, and charcoal.

Come and discover wool as a material for creative expression !

In this course you will learn how to use wool to create your own felt fabric. Using the wet and needle felting processes you will be able to create a variety of 2D to 3D artworks and crafts. Achieve illustrative/abstract images, as well as sculptures, objects, and accessories. Each course is guided by an idea focused on a specific material finish and it's method.
