My name is Wayne and English is my maternal language. I have been teaching English at Lycée St. Sernin in Toulouse. Here, I have held the post as English Language Assistant since last year. I have given numerous private English classes to teenagers and Adults across the city. During summer, I was in Italty where I spent 3 weeks interacting with and teaching English to an Italian Family and their two sons, I also spent a month in Perpignan teaching French adolescents at a Summer Camp.

With my classes, my students are my focus; their interests become my interests and this way we study my language together in an amusing and interesting manner. In my regular classes I never speak French and this pushes my students into almost total immersion. My classes are never overwhelming and we get a lot of work done.

I was born in Norway, but my mother tongue is English thanks to my British father from London. I have good language skills to learn other languages, and I have a bachelor's degree in education and music. I am a trained teacher.

My method includes oral and written practice, depending on the level of the student and what he wants to learn. I really want the student to form his own sentences and try to write texts. I also have learning materials on which the student can work at home.

(It is also important to know that my French is very basic and that it is difficult for me to learn English to someone who does not speak it at all).

After giving courses in Journalism and Communication in English language for the last ten years I am now settled in Toulouse where I successfully taught English and German to children (7-12), youngsters and adults since 2018. I enjoy working with my students as a welcome change to spending time in front of my computer, working on my publications. My aim is to adjust my courses to the specific needs and interest of my students, therefore the respective content can vary a lot. However, the focus is on preparing and encouraging students as much as possible to express themselves orally and get comfortable with the language.

Are you looking for a qualified English teacher from England? You have the possibility to improve your English while being supervised by your teacher. You can work on your grammar, writing, speaking and pronunciation. Are you desperate to pass your exams, prepare yourself for an interview or correct an essay? Or do you want to go to an English school or follow an English programme? The teacher is open to your requests.
Maybe you want to share your English lesson with some of your friends? It is possible to form a group at a reduced price, tell me with whom you would like to form a group. ;-) If not, the lessons are also individualised (private).
