Hello Everyone! I'm Muxi, I'm currently a master student in the University of Zurich. My major is English Literary Studies. Chinese is my native language and I'm also proficiency of speaking English.

I have gained the English and Chinese high school teaching diploma in China. I used to help the exchange students in my bachelor school to pass their HSK examinations. So I could tutor the Mandarin from the elementary to advanced level.

My bachelor studies is English Language and Literature, so during my 4 years study in china, I've helped my foreign exchange students to pass their HSK exams in different levels. And I'm also an English high school teacher in one educational institution. For this summer, I also worked as an IELTS Oral teacher for Chinese students.

I'm also an official YCT (Youth Chinese Test)/ HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test)/ HSKK (Chinese Proficiency Spoken Test) test examiner.

In addition to giving private lessons, I also teach Chinese at international schools and lead Mandarin immersion Spielgruppe (playgroup) in the German-speaking part of Switzerland. I run private lessons, where all levels are welcome. But if you’re a total beginner then I offer basic classes to help you find the way to get into it.

I develop diverse methods of teaching for the students. For the around 5-8 years old kids, I would like to set certain games to play with them, thereby the kids can learn the new language during the interaction and communication. In this way, different media, like color pictures, puppets, or storybooks are essential to make the course very attractive. For the teenager or advanced students, a structuralized teaching content based on scenarios or textbook could help the students to develop their language capacity efficiently in different aspects – listening, reading, speaking, and writing.
