Hi there,
My name is Rodrigo Fuentealba, I’m a professional guitarist - Fuzztones, Arsenal, Novastar, Gabriel Ríos, Fifty Foot Combo, Manngold - I play in little dark venues as well as Werchter and Forest National in bands whose genre ranges from Rock'n Roll, blues, surf, punkrock, postpunk, jazz, latin, garage, pop, soul, folk, country, psychedelica, impro, solos and anything in between and beyond, anything as long as it’s good and fun ! And ... I can’t read music (I can pretend very well) and I’ve only been taking an interest in music theory in the last ten years.

I have a solid experience as a guitar teacher as i’ve worked for 10 years at the PXL Music Conservatory, which produces most of the professional bands coming out of Belgium, as well as at the Merelbeke Music Academy. I also produce music, write music scores for theater, movies, adverts and contemporary dance.

I got into music because it is fun to play an instrument, it makes you feel good, it’s creative, inspiring, and it connects you to other people. And that is my main goal in teaching you how to play the guitar. At your own pace, learning the stuff that you like and want to learn. The basic basics, songs, styles, soloing, impro, and the more advanced things, whatever it is that you fancy and would like to learn. In a beautiful environment. And with a nice cup of tea. In English, Dutch, French or Spanish, in the daytime or evening.

Hello. I finished the classical guitar music academy (5 years of training + 5 years of qualification), now 7 years ago. During my musical journey, I also followed 2 years of guitar lessons. Afterwards, I played in a folk group for 6 years and also 2 years in a gypsy guitar group. Thanks to all these years of lessons, I have acquired a very good musical mastery of the guitar. I am delighted to be able to teach you how to play it whether you are a beginner or more advanced in learning the guitar.

Have fun learning your favourite songs and playing guitar. We offer tailor-made online guitar lessons. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced player. All lessons are customized to your skills and goals goals.

Lessons are centered around two principles:
1. Teaching the basics of guitar technique: reading notes/tabs, analysis of melody and harmony, ear training
2. An open approach focused on learning to play your favourite songs

Levels:
Beginners will first learn the basics, such as tuning, posture, basic technique, reading tablature, and playing elementary chords. After ten lessons you will be able to play basic chords and single-note melodies. You will already be able to play your favourite music!
If you are already a more advanced player we will work on improving specific technical and musical skills such as soloing, improving your sound, and learning genre-specific techniques.

Guitar Styles:
You can choose almost any music style you want to play: Pop, rock, jazz, blues, folk, country, flamenco, and classical.

Hello everyone,

Μy name is Marianna and I am a concert artist and guitar tutor. I have nurtured a profound love for classical guitar since my childhood and commenced my musical journey at the age of 10. After attending the National Conservatory of Athens, I graduated with the highest honours. Furthering my studies, I joined the Royal Brussels Conservatory, where I undertook the Bachelor of Music programme under the tutelage of Antigoni Goni.

Keen to explore different cultures and musical scenes, I opted to pursue further studies in Berlin, where I trained under Rainer Feldmann. Whilst studying at the Universität der Künste in Berlin, I cultivated a distinct passion for Baroque music and received tutelage in Baroque guitar and theorbo from Sam Chapman.

During my studies, I provided private guitar tutoring and also taught at a state music school in Berlin/Brandenburg for five years from September 2018 until August 2023. During this time, I created and oversaw a guitar class of more than 35 students of diverse ages and skill levels. To complement my teaching methodology, I formed three guitar ensembles, ranging from trios to quintets, which incorporated chamber music.

After at least twelve years of teaching guitar to several children and adults, I firmly believe that students should have hands-on experience with the instrument from their very first lesson, and at the same time be introduced to music theory.

I follow a method that emphasizes the development of critical basics in my students to enable them to comprehend music and the instrument through theory and solfeggio, utilizing scores instead of tablatures. Depending on the preferences of the student, we can explore a diverse range of repertoires, encompassing classical and folk genres, among others.

Throughout my teaching career, I have worked effectively and efficiently with learners of all ages and experience levels, from complete novices to those readying themselves for university-level assessments (such as Grade 8 ABRSM).

I am proficient in English, German, and Greek, and possess a rudimentary understanding of French.

My music studio is located in Saint Gilles, Brussels, and is open to all interested learners.

A seasoned and passionate musician since the age of 15, I gave my first lessons more than 10 years ago. I am an excellent pedagogue, and I adapt to the level of the student, whether in terms of technical mastery of the instrument, ability to read notes (or tablature), as well as understanding music theory and of the theory. I put myself at the service of the student, his level and his tastes and musical projects. I have a thorough knowledge of music theory, particularly in jazz, and a long experience of playing together (jazz, rock and progressive metal). I can thus provide the theoretical elements necessary for the student to fully appropriate his instrument, at his own pace, and be able to play in a group, invent bass lines, improvise and compose pieces.

The bass is the most important instrument in a musical ensemble, whether in jazz, rock, blues, funk, metal or pop. She is the benchmark for all other musicians, she defines both rhythm and harmony, and she literally makes the bodies of the listeners vibrate.
