I offer 1 hour violin lessons in Stockholm for both adults and children at all levels. The lessons can be adapted and be shorter or longer according to your needs and goals. You are welcome to my home studio (Solna) or I can come to your home (but with an additional fee). I focus on building a solid technical foundation while nurturing your own musicality as you work with repertoire.

Über mich

I started playing the violin at the age of seven, and in 2004 I was admitted to the Conservatorio di Torino “G. Verdi”, where I first studied with Christine Anderson and then with Piergiorgio Rosso of the Trio Debussy. I graduated in 2015 and in the same year I was admitted to the Accademia di Pinerolo, where I studied with Adrian Pinzaru until 2018.

Over the years I have been a substitute in several orchestras: the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana under the direction of A. Vedernikov, the Polledro Orchestra, the “L. Cherubini” Orchestra conducted by Riccardo Muti and the Orchestra Giovanile Italiana, among others. In 2017 I also worked as a tutor in Maurizio Cadossi’s quartet class at the Conservatorio di Alessandria. From October 2018 to August 2019 I had a permanent place in the “L. Cherubini” Orchestra under Riccardo Muti.

I have five years of experience teaching both adults and children.

My goal is that you come out of the lessons feeling inspired and enriched by music and of course, trying to enjoy together. There is no need to have a minimum level for the lessons, whether you are a beginner or have an advanced level for violin-viola or Music theory, my lessons will be adapted to your needs and desires to get the best out of each student. Flexible lesson times, without stress and of course having fun and pleasure in music-making!

My name is Norbert and i am 25 years old. I finished my violin Bachelor degree on University for Music and performing Arts in Graz. I have been playing the violin since i was 4 years old and i have a big musical background since I come from a musician family. I have experience in private violin lessons and also i worked in a private music school for 2 years. I have been teaching children from 5 years old, teenagers and adults as well. I can teach violin on all levels from beginner to advanced. I have a flexible schedule and also a B driver license so it is possible to have the lessons either at my place or at your home. My piano class is designed for students who wish to develop as complete musicians, not only as technicians. The work is centered on building a solid technical foundation, a deep understanding of musical structure, and the ability to make independent, thoughtful interpretative decisions.
Technical work is approached systematically and intelligently, always in direct relation to repertoire. Sound production, control of touch, balance, voicing, articulation, and efficient movement at the keyboard are fundamental elements of the lessons. Technical issues are never treated mechanically, but as tools serving musical intention.
A strong emphasis is placed on score reading and musical understanding: harmony, form, counterpoint, rhythm, and stylistic awareness. Students are guided to understand why a piece works the way it does, not only how to play it. This analytical clarity allows for freedom, confidence, and consistency in performance.
Interpretation is approached with respect for the text and historical context, while encouraging the student to develop a personal and honest musical voice. Different stylistic periods—from Baroque to contemporary music—are addressed with appropriate aesthetic and technical considerations.
Lessons are demanding but supportive. The goal is to help each student progress at their own pace, while cultivating discipline, curiosity, and artistic responsibility. The class is suitable for students who are motivated, open-minded, and willing to engage deeply with the music.
Ultimately, the aim is not only preparation for exams, auditions, or concerts, but the formation of a musician who can think independently, practice efficiently, and maintain a lifelong, meaningful relationship with music.
