I am a hard-working and passionate Language Teacher focused on creating a positive, stimulating and highly communicative classroom environment in which students feel good and are able to learn effectively. I always try to find language learning material which is suitable for my students’ needs and interests to make language learning effective and fun at the same time. I consider myself an energetic but patient teacher who finds extremely important to reduce all the stress and anxiety caused by all the difficulties that language learning may cause and replace those negative feelings with confidence in using foreign languages.

I offer you a new learning experience.

The focus is on practical application and theory is only introduced where intuition reaches its limits.

Whether you are a beginner or an advanced learner, my tailor-made lessons will accelerate your language acquisition in a positive learning environment.

You can book a complete course with regular sessions or individual lessons to overcome a specific problem, such as pronunciation or a particular point in grammar.

Learning a foreign language is not a linear process that consists of memorising a list of words, and speaking a foreign language is not an oral translation exercise.

There are two types of approaches to acquiring knowledge:

When asked what year follows 1999, you can immediately answer 2000 without having to think for a long time and, above all, without having memorised each number individually, starting with 1, 2, 3 ... You know that numbers are formed according to a certain pattern. With only ten digits, you can form an infinite number of numbers and always know which number comes next.

When it comes to the alphabet, words and sentences, it's more or less the same, but school pedagogy, school textbooks and regular lessons still follow the rote learning approach. In the lessons I propose, you will learn to use patterns because this is more efficient and faster.

Learning is easy, but unlearning bad habits is extremely difficult. This makes it all the more important to learn the right reflexes as early as possible.

My offer is aimed at both young people and adults who want to learn German or improve their knowledge without wasting time on nonsensical school methods.

I offer individual or group lessons for German. The methods are based on cognitive science and, in particular, comparative linguistics. My flexible programme can be tailored to your individual needs. The programme focuses on your independence in spontaneous conversations in real life.

What is particularly important to me:

motivating my students and help them establish a learning rhythm;
encouraging their creativity;
helping them become more familiar with the language;
teaching them the letters and their sounds;
strengthening their memory by training their phonological loop;
teaching sentence building plans instead of memorising sentences;
explaining how language works so that my students can become independent as quickly as possible.

Moving to a new country can be quite a daunting and difficult change. While you can get by in most situations in English, in other situations, it simply does not suffice.

This class is for anyone looking to pick up French as a second language. The focus is to learn expressions and phrases, as well as pronunciation and how to speak without the dreaded 'foreigner' accent. From there we can build a foundation on which you can build.

Having first moved here 20 years ago, I have grown up in Switzerland, my early childhood was spent in Germany, meaning I can teach people whose mother tongue is either German or English. They say practice makes perfect, and that has certainly been the case for me. So that is what I will do with you, practice with you and guide you until perfect.

Are you looking for a qualified English teacher from England? You have the possibility to improve your English while being supervised by your teacher. You can work on your grammar, writing, speaking and pronunciation. Are you desperate to pass your exams, prepare yourself for an interview or correct an essay? Or do you want to go to an English school or follow an English programme? The teacher is open to your requests.
Maybe you want to share your English lesson with some of your friends? It is possible to form a group at a reduced price, tell me with whom you would like to form a group. ;-) If not, the lessons are also individualised (private).

Hello everyone! I hold a CELTA teaching qualification in Spanish and a doctorate in Italian. I have been teaching Italian and Spanish for more than 5 years. I've been preparing students for the A-Levels and GCSE (language + literature). I can prepare you for specific examinations, language lessons in general or teach you Spanish for business. The lessons are for everyone, whatever their age or level (children to adults). I will make sure that you discover the Spanish culture through the lessons, learn the correct pronunciation and of course learn some grammar. I am open to your needs and can speak a few languages to make sure that you understand fully the lessons (of course, we’ll try to use mostly Spanish in all our lessons depending on your level).

Je suis français de langue maternelle mais j'ai vécu 12 ans en Allemagne. Je suis professeur d’allemand en primaire et dans le secondaire et je suis docteur en Histoire contemporaine. J'aime enseigner cette langue et sa culture en donnant toujours le plus d'exemples concrets et en appliquant des méthodes classiques et conçues par moi-même. Je m’adapte à chaque élève, adultes ou enfants, et à ses objectifs. J’ai la particularité de très bien maîtriser cette langue (langage académique comme familier et quotidien) tout en étant capable de parfaitement l’expliquer en français. J’aime d’ailleurs dès que possible faire des comparaisons avec le français ou l’anglais puisque l’allemand est très proche de ces deux langues.
Si l’allemand a la réputation d’être une langue difficile, elle reste tout d’abord une langue européenne donc tout à fait abordable pour des français. Je m’engage à ce qu’en peu de temps vous soyez capable de construire une phrase correctement et de maitriser le présent, au moins un temps du passé et le futur.
Bien sûr, comme pour toutes langues étrangères, cela nécessite un travail sérieux et régulier et d’être capable d’apprendre par cœur certaines choses. Mais il existe aussi de nombreux moyens de mémoriser certaines spécificités de la langue allemande. Mon expérience d’élève en France (j’ai appris l’allemand de la 6e à la fin de ma licence) puis en tant qu’élève adulte en Allemagne (où j’ai eu des profs de langue maternelle) m’ont permis de retenir le meilleur des méthodes d’enseignement auxquelles j’ajoute mes propres méthodes et priorités dans l’apprentissage.
L’allemand est une langue bien plus précise que le français et il est même possible d’inventer ses propres mots. Le vocabulaire est aussi plus facile à apprendre ou à comprendre car plus logique et construit de façon plus basique que le français. Il n’est pas rare d’entendre que le français et l’allemand font partis des deux langues les plus compliquées de l’Europe occidentale. C’est faux ! Le français est vraiment très dur pour un étranger. L’allemand n’a que très peu d’exceptions et s’écrit comme il se dit. Il n’y a par exemple pas de lettres muettes comme en français. Il sera évidemment plus aisé d’apprendre une langue latine pour un français mais l’allemand reste à la portée de toutes et tous : il suffit d’être motivé et de m’avoir comme prof !!
