My name is Marat and I am a London-based pianist, musicologist and composer with more than 20 years of experience. I am also a dedicated and experienced piano, composition, music theory and music technology tutor offering excellent and in-depth tuition for any age or ability. My musical path started at Moscow Jurgenson Music School in Russia at the age of 7 where I took my first piano and music theory lessons. After 8 years of full-time studying I graduated with distinction. In 2015, I graduated from Goldsmiths, University of London specialising in classical and contemporary performance (under Andrew Zolinsky) and music education. Recently, I have completed my masters programme at Goldsmiths, University of London specialising in contemporary musicology (under Keith Potter) and music management.

Since 2012, I have been performing and premiering contemporary classical music solo or with ensembles at various venues and events, including IKLECTIK, Arebyte Gallery, Sound Festival, Southbank Centre, Cheltenham Music Festival and Teatro Baltazar Dias (Madeira, Portugal). I am a core member of the New Maker Ensemble, a group dedicated to experimenting with various art forms of new music and performance art. I regularly write articles and album reviews about new music. I have given lectures and presentations on new music at various conferences and events, including the Gnesin Contemporary Music Week 2020, 2021 and 2022, the Gnesin Academy and ZIL Culture Centre. And I even have my own podcast about new music.

Tuition is open for both online and in-person classes. All ages and abilities welcome: from age 5 to adult learners, beginner to advanced. I teach from my flat in Surrey Quays, but can also travel to my students, in which case a travel fee will be added to the standard rates. I currently offer:

The student will learn techniques, stylistic elements, tricks ... already by working on his first tracks: to keep motivation and satisfaction high, the result is always visible!
The lessons are face-to-face and personalised according to the level of experience and the musical style of the student. The presentation of the information is clear and accompanied by practical examples.

I'll show you how to:
- use Ableton Live,
- program and control synthesizers and virtual instruments,
- use microphone and sound card to record your voice and your instruments,
- process sound with effects (plugins) and optimize it for diffusion (mixing and mastering),
- make your songs, from start to the last details.

My name is Jonas, I am a professional musician and singer and started my personal music journey over ten years ago. Initially trained from a young age in classical singing, I later moved on to do jazz and contemporary styles and then decided to move to London to study Music Performance and Production at LCCM.

Over the years I came to an important realization. Although music and singing technique is extremely important, the purpose of music is to convey emotion. I feel this is an aspect that is quickly overlooked but makes the difference in being able to make an audience remember you or not. These aspects of the authenticity of voice and performance I focus on in my classes.

It doesn’t matter which age or which singing level you currently are - everyone is welcome in my classes. I truly believe that anyone can sing and that everyone should experience the joy of singing.

I loved my musical journey which included not only piano but also composition, the violin, recorder, flute, harpsichord and clavichord from childhood onwards. My teaching approach is comprehensive, builds up confidence and incorporates a multidisciplinary orientation thanks to which students get promptly enthused over their learning. Hey! My name is Seán, and I am an Irish singer-songwriter based in London with 2 years of teaching experience. I teach a range of disciplines, including piano, guitar, vocals, songwriting, and music theory.
