My name is Cristina and I am a Spanish teacher from Spain. I use a communicative approach in which my main objectives are: to make the student the protagonist of the learning process, to present grammar in an inductive way and to adapt the classes as much as possible to the types of students.

I have been teaching levels from A1 to C1 in high schools in different countries such as Rwanda, France and Sweden. Since more than a year I have been teaching private lessons online, therefore I know the right materials in order to help you to learn Spanish and use it fluently.

I was born in Istanbul in 1983. I started teaching Turkish while studying Turkish Language and Literature at university. I worked in a language school and at universities. I have been teaching Turkish professionally for more than 16 years. I also taught Turkish for 5 years when I was a university student. In 2018, I obtained a TESOL certificate and also began teaching English.

Even though I use a communicative approach, my lessons are supported by a solid understanding of grammar, as Turkish has a very different structure.

I use the course book set prepared by Istanbul University. It follows a strategic approach to learning Turkish and includes all language skills—reading, grammar, writing, listening, watching, and speaking—from A1 to C2. All of these skills are essential for conversation.

I teach English for the A1 and A2 levels.

The workbook offers many exercises for homework or revision, and I support the book with my own authentic materials. I also use an interactive board that you can view anytime, and you can edit it as well. Repetition-based speaking practice plays an important role in my lessons.

I speak English well, and a bit of Italian, and I have also studied Persian and German grammar. I am interested in literature.
