I am an Oxford Physics graduate with two years experience as a private tutor, teaching students Mathematics and Physics (Primarily for UK A-level). I have also helped students in the past in preparing for entrance exams and interviews for top UK universities such as Oxford, Cambridge and Imperial College London.

My tutoring style works on the spirit of cooperation, we will work on problems and examples together, with lots of discussion and additional questions to help the student build enough confidence to tackle problems by themselves. I will then set students homework to complete by themselves based on the tutorials, to reinforce the concepts introduced there.

I am currently residing in Leuven, Belgium.

I studied Physics at the University of Oxford from 2014-2018, eventually graduating with a Masters degree in Mathematical and theoretical Physics, achieving a first class over my first 3 years and a distinction in my final year.

This class will provide you with the tools you will need to tackle the entrance exams in Mathematics, Physics and Engineering for top UK universities. Depending on the ambitions of the student I can offer help in the STEP papers (Cambridge Mathematics,) the MAT (Oxford Mathematics) and PAT (Oxford Physics) papers and others. I can also assist in helping the student with interview preparation for Oxford, Cambridge and other top UK universities.

I am a university researcher and instructor with a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering. I am able to provide one-on-one guidance for a range of topics in mathematics (algebra, geometry, calculus, discrete math, functions and modeling), natural sciences (physics, chemistry, biology), and engineering (fluid dynamics, applied programming, signal analysis, optimization).

WAY OF TEACHING
I am an enthusiastic, patient and empathetic teacher. In addition to teaching, I hope to pass on my passion for science & math to you/your children ;)
My lessons are very interactive. The student is often challenged with questions that make him/her think about the theory and exercises. This way, he/she will thoroughly understand the teaching material.

As for the lesson itself, it is adapted according to the needs of the student. Here is a typical timeline:
1. STEP 1: I discuss with the student the goal he/she wants to achieve (preparation for an exam, etc.), the difficulties he/she is experiencing, and the course material of the lesson.
2. STEP 2: Classes take place.
3. STEP 3: I will give you/the student updates on progress.

Mathematics and science subjects can weigh heavily on your study career during secondary education. It is therefore important to perform well on this. This can be a challenge for many students, especially in the third grade. In my lesson I try to explain the subject matter to students based on their own course, my old course and extra exercises. I am a student of TEW at the KULeuven and would like to offer my services to high school students who could use some help outside of school hours. Together with my students, I look for the right study approach to fully understand the courses and I try to present the subject matter in a different way so that my students gain more insight into the subject matter.
