As a teacher I want to not only help you improve your grammatical, speaking, writing skills, but also your cultural knowledge about France and the French speaking countries.

In order to help you remembering the specificities of the French language, I always try to come up with creative solutions (songs, mnemomic tricks...). Most importantly, I make sure that you are fully engage in the learning process and that you feel safe to speak and make mistakes.

I like to use different methods to teach French to students. It can be through songs, drama, role play or videos. I also very often use situations close to the student's experience, such as describing places they have been or talking about what they have experienced. At the same time, I teach the grammar rules to the student. I now live in regions where French has been spoken for over 30 years. Because I have learned French myself (and I am still learning other languages), I can easily put myself in a student's shoes. I can teach in French, Dutch, English, German and Russian.

I am very flexible in teaching. The aim is for the student to reach a target level as quickly as possible. For this I analyze during the first lesson where the shortcomings are and in this way draw up a learning program (always in consultation with the student/parents).

I create a learning experience (content and pace) adapted to your needs: speaking fluently, DELF/ DALF test preparation, conversations to help with travel or relocation, or simply the pleasure of talking about subjects you are interested in. We can have our lessons in a relaxed atmosphere, enjoying various aspects of learning a language. It's not just about memorizing complex conjugations!

I work with a variety of online resources, all of which is shared with you after the lesson. For structure and to gauge progress, I also work with certain books depending on the level and the requirement. Unless you wish to focus on specific skills, I try to include speaking and listening during the session, while reading and writing exercises are given as homework. Grammar points are handled as and when they come up.
