Je suis mentor, enseignante, chercheuse, auteure et consultante. J'ai obtenu un doctorat en sémiotique en 1996 à l'Université d'Aarhus (Danemark). La sémiotique, une discipline méconnue, permet de comprendre des aspects aussi essentiels que la signification des images, des espaces, du langage, des sons, des couleurs et des gestes. My name is Isabel. I am an architect, urban planner, and semiotician. As a mentor, teacher, researcher, author, and consultant, I earned a PhD in Semiotics in 1996 from Aarhus University, Denmark. Semiotics is a fascinating and not widely known discipline that allows us to explore and understand the meanings of images, spaces, language, sounds, colors, and gestures. It provides a valuable toolkit for deciphering the complex world we live in.

Throughout my career, I have had the honor of teaching and conducting research in various countries, collaborating with institutions and universities across Europe, America, Africa, and Asia. I have guided numerous students through workshops in architecture, lectures in semiotics, bioclimatic architecture, and urban planning, as well as directed studies in various related fields.

My teaching approach is personalized and tailored to each student, focusing on discovering your own methodological approach. This method, developed over more than 30 years of experience, aims to enhance your critical thinking and your ability to interpret and create meaningful and communicative spaces.

I was born in Istanbul in 1983. I started teaching Turkish while studying Turkish Language and Literature at university. I worked in a language school and at universities. I have been teaching Turkish professionally for more than 16 years. I also taught Turkish for 5 years when I was a university student. In 2018, I obtained a TESOL certificate and also began teaching English.

I teach both adults and children. Creating a comfortable learning environment for my students is one of my top priorities. If you would like to learn Turkish or English in a consistent and structured way, I would be happy to work with you.

I hold firmly to two main principles: creating a comfortable space for learning and building an encouraging atmosphere.

My students often describe me as patient, positive, and well-organised. Over time, I’ve found my own way of making Turkish feel easier, more enjoyable, and more practical to learn.

I love shaping each lesson around my students’ interests, needs, and learning styles. I adapt my teaching to the needs of students with special conditions, such as ADHD and OCD.

In my lessons, you’ll never feel afraid of making mistakes. Before long, you’ll start noticing them on your own and correcting yourself naturally.

Even though I use a communicative approach, my lessons are supported by a solid understanding of grammar, as Turkish has a very different structure.

I use the course book set prepared by Istanbul University. It follows a strategic approach to learning Turkish and includes all language skills—reading, grammar, writing, listening, watching, and speaking—from A1 to C2. All of these skills are essential for conversation.

I teach English for the A1 and A2 levels.

The workbook offers many exercises for homework or revision, and I support the book with my own authentic materials. I also use an interactive board that you can view anytime, and you can edit it as well. Repetition-based speaking practice plays an important role in my lessons.

I speak English well, and a bit of Italian, and I have also studied Persian and German grammar. I am interested in literature.

Ce cours s'adresse aux étudiants motivés qui visent un diplôme de licence (TU/FH/Akademie) à Vienne.
Il suit un modèle de mentorat, offrant un encadrement rapproché et un soutien structuré pour aider les étudiants à se préparer aux examens de Matura et d'admission en architecture avec plus de clarté, d'efficacité et (espérons-le) un risque réduit d'épuisement professionnel.

Format et rythme

• Rythme recommandé : 2 séances individuelles par semaine, de 3 à 4 heures chacune, se déroulant principalement en présentiel.
• Les séances en ligne ne sont proposées que lorsque la présence en personne est impossible.
• Début : idéalement 9 à 12 mois avant la date d’admission.
• Première séance : évaluation des compétences par un test de dessin et un court questionnaire (préférences, architectes préférés, objectifs). Les étudiants qui présentent des travaux antérieurs sont dispensés du test de dessin.
