English-language videos go much more viral on TikTok and Instagram, naturally raising the question of whether speaking the language is advantageous. I studied English from third to tenth grade at a grammar school and consistently earned top marks. I've always been passionate about languages, having grown up bilingual at home, speaking Vietnamese and German, and learning three additional foreign languages at school: English, French, and Spanish.
