Songwriting is a fantastic skill whether you are a beginner or want to improve your songwriting capabilities. Not only will your musical abilities improve but so will you english language capabilities as we look to marry music and lyrics in the best possible way. Not only is it a great industry to get into, songwriting has enormous benefits to mental health as it provides a platform for creative expression which in my many years of experience has helped so many of my younger as well as older students. In my class, you will learn the foundations behind creating a great song including: Songwriting forms and structure in all genres, music theory and understanding chord progressions and modes, breaking music theory conventions in order to create a unique sound, great songwriting tools to help with 'writers block', performance coaching and how to convey your songs message on stage as well as all things music industry, including the importance of copyright and how to protect your songs. My students will be working with me on constructing songs as beginners and my more experienced songwriting students will work with professional music industry briefs that I will provide. Students will be able to write songs comfortably and autonomously after only a handful of lessons with me.

I am a 28 year old signed singer/songwriter to BMG (Sony publishing)
I have 8 years of experience teaching songwriting as well as teaching guitar and voice to all levels.
I have been in the music industry since graduating university where I have toured all over the world, supporting David Gray is my highlight to date!
As well as music, I am a keen sportsman, playing rugby on Saturday's and taking part in strength and endurance events with Omnia Performance for whom I am an ambassador.
I also love doing charity work for Mind and the music mental health charity, Hummingbird where I took part in a 12 hour songwriting challenge raising money for their wonderful cause.

I am Ida, a creative and passionate musician, and music educator, counting 20 years in artistic practice and having 7+ years of experience in teaching. I offer you fun and inspiring singing lessons which are based on your individual needs and preferences.

My method is ... LEARN BY MAKING YOUR MUSIC!

The student will learn techniques, stylistic elements, tricks ... already by working on his first tracks: to keep motivation and satisfaction high, the result is always visible!
The lessons are face-to-face and personalised according to the level of experience and the musical style of the student. The presentation of the information is clear and accompanied by practical examples.

I'll show you how to:
- use Ableton Live,
- program and control synthesizers and virtual instruments,
- use microphone and sound card to record your voice and your instruments,
- process sound with effects (plugins) and optimize it for diffusion (mixing and mastering),
- make your songs, from start to the last details.

I also speak Spanish, French, German and Italian.

I specialise in writing and composing music for all levels. The student will need to have a music programme such as Logic or Ableton in order to be able to take this class.

My name is Jonas, I am a professional musician and singer and started my personal music journey over ten years ago. Initially trained from a young age in classical singing, I later moved on to do jazz and contemporary styles and then decided to move to London to study Music Performance and Production at LCCM.

Over the years I came to an important realization. Although music and singing technique is extremely important, the purpose of music is to convey emotion. I feel this is an aspect that is quickly overlooked but makes the difference in being able to make an audience remember you or not. These aspects of the authenticity of voice and performance I focus on in my classes.

It doesn’t matter which age or which singing level you currently are - everyone is welcome in my classes. I truly believe that anyone can sing and that everyone should experience the joy of singing.

In the singing lesson we look at breathing, vocal technique, language, expression and interpretation. I take much pleasure in watching a student grow and facilitating their development and helping them on their own path. The most important thing to me is that they enjoy using their voice and telling a story through music.

I have recently graduated from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance with a Master of Music degree with distinction. Through the developing of my private practice, I am becoming increasingly interested and deeply passionate about teaching singing and singing pedagogy. For me, music – and especially singing – is all about communication, between performer and audience, between composer and performer/audience, between teacher and student; it is about conveying a story and human emotions that people can relate to and that give us a sense of connection and belonging. This requires not only a deep understanding of technical skills, but also a sensitivity to the text and the way it is set into music, both melodically and harmonically.

Every session begins with compulsory vocal warm-ups, focusing on breath control, vocal exercises, and technique. These foundational practices help strengthen your voice and prepare you for the songs we will work on during the lesson.

In each class, you will choose a song you'd like to learn, and I will suggest a second song to complement your skill development. We will work on a maximum of two songs per session, focusing on technique, expression, and interpretation to help you refine your unique sound. Whether you're a beginner or experienced vocalist, my lessons are tailored to enhance your vocal abilities and confidence in performance.

My class is for anyone interested in music as a tool for life. The focus is to learn how to play an instrument and also cultivate mindfulness habits. I have taught with my own method for 20 years to hundreds of students from all walks of life.
