Über mich

I'm a Master's student and research intern in the robotics labs at EPFL writing my thesis on bio-inspired flying robots. Having attended an international high school in my native Costa Rica and completed my bachelor's degree in Manchester, UK I have interacted with students from a wide range of educational systems, and can adapt my teaching to the needs of individual students.

I believe maths and physics should be taught with practical applications in mind. Students should never find themselves wondering "what's the point of learning this?" or "where do all these equations even come from?". I use examples based on interesting real-life problems - mostly from the realm of mechanical/aerospace engineering- and try to connect different topics to keep students motivated and interested.

Master of Science in Physics (EPF); experience of teaching math at the gym as alternate;

The program is based on excises and explains the theory through the examples. Evidence and derivations will only be part of our program if the students / students explicitly wish to do so or if they are treated in class and essential to pass the exams. The goal is to understand a complex subject using easy calculations and to be ready for exams.
I do not intend to do a frontal teaching as we know it in school. It is important that we work together on a problem and that we can solve several problems of the same kind.
If you wish, we can speak in English or German (my native language) during class. This can allow you to very easily become familiar with a foreign language. The relaxed atmosphere in a non-school setting can accelerate the learning of a new language, as no one (except me - and I'll forget about it right now) will notice mistakes.

Hi Everyone,
I'm a researcher in nuclear fusion at EPFL, after a PhD at EPFL, a masters at ETH in Zurich and a bachelors in Freiburg, I got quite proficient in maths and physics as well as teaching. I am a third year Physics student at EPFL . If you are struggling with Maths and Physics then I can, explain you the course by breaking it down by parts, I can give you tips, methods, personal feedback on your exercices. I can help you to focus on the important thinks if you feel lost but I can also explain you how to solve the trickiest problems if you want to garante a good grade.
If you are struggling, if you are late in your exercices series or if you want to go deeper into it in order to guarantee a very good grade then I can help you.

I can explain you the courses step by step at your own pace. I can give you tips, methods, and personal feedback for your exercices.

I know were to focus and what are the expectations of the teacher. So if you are very late in your exercice series, I'll know what to do and point out the key points that are required at the exams.

I am a student and master of EPFL and I can teach you something, or you can learn more about the course. He is available and motivated. I provide home support courses.

We offer Secondary Cycle students at the gymnasium individualized support focused on the needs of the student, whether for preparation for an exam or follow-up throughout the year.

This has already been an assistant/repétiteur before, it is a great pleasure to teach and it continues this experience. I can adapt to any age.

My name is Marc, I'm 19 years old, and I've been offering tutoring for over two years. Currently studying electronics at EPFL, I can support students of all ages and levels in mathematics and physics, whether to consolidate the basics, prepare for exams, or delve deeper into certain concepts.

I adapt to each student's needs, whether it's to fill in gaps or consolidate good results. My goal is to provide clear explanations and effective methods for lasting progress.

I have extensive experience in tutoring, an activity I have been practicing for about 7 years with different students.
