The cello is an instrument that embodies both tradition and moderity. In my class, we can explore its many faces and characters together, from baroque splendor to contemporary repertoire and crossover.
You will learn basic and advanced technique and improve your musicianship in a gentle and supported way.
Leaning should be relaxing and fun - lessons are always engaging and uplifting.
From beginner to advanced amateur, all levels and ages are welcome to try a lesson and join the studio.

Hi! I am Candela. I have been studying cello since I was 8. I am currently studying 3erd year of Bachelor in the Royal conservatory of the Hague with Lucia Swarts. I am from Spain and I have been teaching there private lessons. I have more experience with childs but everybody is welcome to my class! I will adapt my teaching to your interests and desires! I was under the tutelage of the great violin pedagogue Mr. Mauricio Fuks at Indiana University (USA) for 3 consecutive years (2018-2021) becoming his teaching assistant for 3 years (2018-2021). Moreover, I have taught young violinists in Elementary Schools, (e.g. Fairview Elementary School) and also collegiate students in the Jacobs School of Music (US). In Spain, I have teaching experience in several music schools instructing violinists ranging from 3 to 70 years of age. I have also worked with ADHD and autistic students with a great passion for violin playing and music-making.

I hold a master's in Violin Performance at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag and in Psychology and Music (UNED). I have an excellent command of English, and Dutch and a good working knowledge of French. I base my teaching method on Suzuki and Galamian methods, which I combine with a wide repertoire of progressive violin pieces.

After studying for two bachelor's degrees one Master's degree in Composition and a Professional degree in violin, I am currently working as a freelance artist in Den Haag. Being involved in music education since I was 6 years old - starting to study in a conservatory at the age of 8, together with my eight years of practice as a music teacher - has given me enough experience to understand the wishes and needs of a music apprentice.

Music is a wonderfully pleasurable form of expression and should be enjoyed with fun and sensitivity. However, discipline -without pressure- can not be forgotten. In my lessons, I try to train the body and brain simultaneously to develop the student's adequate skills to play the instrument and learn the musical language in an efficient and stimulating way. During my Bachelor's training in Classical Horn I have trained in different educational skills techniques as well as in teaching ensembles and basic conducting.
In addition to horn classes, I can also teach music theory and basic piano skills.

I am very flexible with lesson times, so reaching a common point shouldn't be too difficult.

I believe that it is necessary to be constant. The ideal would be one hour or hour and a half a week, but that depends on the student availability. I would provide a personal adaptation.

I like playing games, singing and coming up to most creative solutions for learning fast inside of a save space for questions and imagination of the student. It is very important to motivate the students regarding to their music tastes.

I consider myself an involved and motivated musician. I am constantly trying to learn new styles and enjoy so much doing it. At the moment I am studying my second bachelor degree in music, specifically in Early Music.

I am very flexible with schedules for lessons so coming to a common point should not be very difficult.

Bassoon lessons:
In this lessons you will be able to learn how to play the bassoon, to blow and tune, to play in groups, understand the harmonic and melodic system of the interpretation of the different music styles. You will be able to learn how to make your own reeds and how to repair them.
Duration of the lesson is generally 60 minutes, but it can be always the student`s choice. The dynamics of the classes is focused on the interpretation and musical understanding, as well as the elaboration and maintenance of reeds, all looking for a positive, dynamic and fun environment.

Music Theory lessons:
Here you will be able to learn how to understand the composers and their music; historical and theorical reasons of why music is written in different ways during the evolution of music history. You will be also able to learn how to read and sing music. Composition skills are also available.
The duration of the lesson is under choice.

Both bassoon an music theory lessons can be combined.

Violin lessons for all ages and levels, adapting to your interests and needs, including music theory.
It is possible to do the lessons in English or Spanish.
My schedule is flexible and depending on it it’s also possible to adapt location.
