Hey there! My name is Maria, and I'm offering private science classes for children and teenagers who are struggling to find a way of working that suits them. I am a chemical engineer by training.

I'm warm, caring and patient, and aim at making science fun! I don't have a rigid method of tutoring - instead I prefer that we develop the learning and teaching method together, to yield the best results.

I am currently studying my Master in Polymer Science in TU Berlin, and I have several years of experience tutoring teenagers and working with kids. Hallo, ich biete Nachhilfe in den oben genannten Fächern an.
Ich habe dieses Jahr mein Abitur an einem Gymnasium mit 1,3 abgeschlossen. Meine Leistungskurse waren Physik und Chemie, daher sind mir die Schulrahmenpläne dieser Fächer ebenfalls durchaus geläufig. Ich werde ebenfalls durch ein Stipendium für meine exzellenten Leistungen in der Schule gefördert. Ich helfe sowohl bei Hausaufgaben, als auch bei der Prüfungsvorbereitung oder dabei Stoff durchzusprechen der bisher unverständlich war.
Der Unterricht kann entweder bei euch zu Hause oder wenn gewünscht auch Online (z.B. via Skype) stattfinden.

In jedem Fach biete ich Unterrichts Vor- und Nachbereitung an, damit Ihr/e Sohn/Tochter bestens auf den Unterricht vorbereitet ist. Außerdem kann ich jederzeit bei den Hausaufgaben helfen und stehe auch außerhalb der Nachhilfezeiten für Fragen im Nachhinein zur verfügung. Falls ein Test oder eine Klassenarbeit bevorsteht, werde ich ihren/ihre Sohn/Tochter intensiv auf die entsprechenden Themen vorbereiten, damit entsprechend gute Noten erzielt werden. Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics are usually not the favorite subjects of students. But, believe me - these subjects are so interesting and can be so joyful. If you join my class I will teach you science and how to learn science, so that you can study it by yourself very soon. You will see that Chemistry and Physics are always all around and inside us and that Mathematics is the beautiful and helpful tool we use to just describe and predict them properly.

Depending on your level and the goal that you want to achieve, I will prepare individual customized lessons, will give you guidance on how to learn and to view things - and especially how to think scientifically.

I studied Chemistry at the Technical University of Berlin and graduated there. During and after completing my PhD in Physical Chemistry I worked in Neutron Science and published numerous papers in Physical Sciences. Then I decided to leave science and started working as a freelance teacher in the subjects given above with high enthusiasm in 2011.

Besides that I have prepared many Chemistry and Physics Tutorials on School as well as University level and also published two books with Multiple Choice questions for premed courses.

My professional background is in biochemistry—this field may not sound like it, but it also encompasses in-depth knowledge of mathematics and physics, in addition to biology and chemistry. I have been passionately and very successfully tutoring pupils and students in all four subjects for many years, both privately and in cooperation with various institutes.

I completed my biochemistry studies at the Free University of Berlin with an outstanding degree and received several scholarships for outstanding achievements.

I might as well mention the feedback I've received from my students (and parents), which indicates a high level of satisfaction. This is due in no small part to my joy in teaching, which motivates them.
