Über mich

I am a foreign languages teacher: English and Spanish. I got my degree two years ago from Universidad Pedagógica Nacional in Colombia.
I have five years of experience in teaching. I've worked with different kinds of population, children, teenagers and adults.

I can help the student improve their language skills: grammar, reading, listening, speaking and writing. My lessons are most of all communicative in which the focus are the production skills, speaking and writing.

My lessons included tasks like word puzzles, role play, quizzes etc. I provide worksheets, but I am open to helping out with homework they received from school or anything they are having problems with. I am currently doing my masters in Rotterdam at RSM and would like to offer French and/or English classes to students. I believe communicating with students in the language they would like to learn is key if they want to become confident in the language. Hence, I suggest doing skype classes or real life meetings at home or outdoors depending on your preferences and talking together will be very helpful for the student to improve in a particular language. I will also help with homework, grammar and the theoretical side of the language if desired.
I have been a counsellor in summer camps in Canada where I had to teach small children aged from 5-15 English. Some of them didn't even know a single word of English when they arrived. It was very hard but we managed to get to know each other, communicate well and believe me, their English improved a lot.

I grew up speaking primarily Italian and German, which helped me a lot with learning new languages without much effort.
