Hello everyone!

I'm offering french lessons for students of all levels (private lessons, tutoring, preparation for exams). I'm a former literary student (have a master's in French literature), I'm 24 and just arrived in Berlin. Last year, I studied and taught at Yale University in the US, where I finished my master's thesis. I have experience with students but also with children (I was a private teacher for elementary school children in 2014) as well as with adults (I gave integration lessons to Refugees in Paris, FLE, from 2015 to 2017).

I was born in Paris, did most of my studied there (before going to Italy and the US). In Paris I did my studies in La Sorbonne and l'École Normale Supérieure (ENS). I've always loved teaching and my experience as a private teacher, a lecturer, a tutor, really proved me that I want to become a professor. I've taught french literature as well as french language per se, and I enjoyed watching my students make quick progress in a lively atmosphere :)

I loved the bond I managed to create with all of them: a serious, yet friendly relationship. Of course, every student is different, and that's why every lesson has to be: I take particular care in adapting myself to the needs, characters and ambitions of my students.

Bonjour! Elève de l'École Normale Supérieure, binationale franco-allemande et parfaitement bilingue, j'ai obtenu mon CAPES de philosophie et mon Master 2 Enseignement. Actuellement en stage à Berlin, chacun propose des cours dans les matières susnommées ainsi qu'en histoire et géographie au lycée et au collège. I am an Italian master student in general and comparative literature at the Free University of Berlin. I have been living in Berlin for three years and I have a Bachelor degree in Italian and German between the Universities of Florence and Bonn.

My teaching method is based on your needs. It can be in both English and German. Together we will find out which strategy is best for learning Italian, be it with the help of an interactive teaching method (e.g. excerpts from films, poems, newspaper articles and songs) or with traditional help with homework.

Thanks to my year abroad in Marseille, France (2015/16), I speak fluent French. I am also currently studying French and Spanish philology, with French as my main subject. French has always been one of my favorites in the languages I speak, whether it's because of the beautiful sound of the language or my experience in France. And I would like to share my knowledge with you.
Together we can improve your French skills and make lessons based on your difficulties. I will be happy to help you overcome obstacles in your individual learning process and do it in a fun way.

I like to help all students who now need support in homeschooling with their tasks and cannot explain things to themselves without a teacher. I am also happy to help children with tutoring needs. It is important to me to work out a structure with the children so that they do not have to rely on my help in the long term, but learn how to deal with new, unknown and challenging tasks themselves and how to master them successfully, because this also increases motivation and the curiosity about new things, but above all the belief and trust in / in one's own abilities.
Up to 10th grade, regardless of the type of school, also upper level by arrangement.

In order to determine the level of each student, a French assessment will first be carried out including grammar, spelling, written and oral comprehension as well as conjugation. I am French and student in Franco-German law at the University of Potsdam, I do my L3 there from the beginning of October until the end of July.

I believe the best way to learn a language is to speak it, therefore our lessons will be focused on conversation, personally adjusted to your level and your ambitions!

What I like to do is to have themed lessons: We will choose a topic together and I will give you a small exercice to prepare. In the lesson we will then chat about the chosen theme, have some activities, games and go over the exercice you prepared.

I have taught myself Spanish and German, so I know first-hand what the difficulties of learning a language can be and how to find the correct solutions to reach your objectives. That's why I also take good care in creating an environment where it is ok to make mistakes, and where we always understand each other.

Ideally, lessons would be held in French, because practice makes perfect!
However, we can switch to English or German if necessary.

I can also help with science (chemistry, physics and mathematics), for example with homework.
