As a Jazz Trumpet student of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam I offer private lessons for all ages and all levels.
In addition to my studies, I had been offering teaching Trumpet, Music Theory and Piano beginners (of any age), group or private lessons as well. I had been working in several schools in Istanbul teaching those subjects, examining, organizing auditions and helping students to prepare auditions to play in orchestras and schools.

In my opinion, creativity and pleasure of playing are the way to improve and learn. After teaching many years I understand all of my student are unique and different. When you have just started, we will take it easy by working on several things. We work from a teaching method, in which you go a step forward every week and can already enjoy playing within a short time! You will receive personalized tips and tricks, exercises and studies, so that you will enjoy reaching your goal! I pay attention not only to technique, but also to interpretation and musical imagination to allow my students to develop the most beautiful sound possible. Maybe it's something I can share with you!

A relationship of trust will be easily established in order to achieve the desired goals. I am most interested in finding out how my students and how to make each lesson interesting and fun, this keeping the students engaged as much as possible.

Hi,

I am a native Turkish speaker, musician, and music teacher from the lovely city of Amsterdam. I am still studying Jazz trumpet at the Amsterdam Conservatory since 2014.

My mother tongue is Turkish and thanks to my international studies, I can speak English fluently and am currently learning Dutch. I already had a few experiences teaching Turkish to my close international friends and I continue teaching in a more professional manner.

First of all, Turkish might seem a bit difficult to learn, but don't be afraid. I have seen that with my students, it gets easier along the way, and the more you learn the more you feel mesmerized by the richness and beauty of it. You would be surprised when you realize how you are progressing in a short time. As a music teacher, I have a number of skills that might help you with learning a language as well. The Turkish language with its Latin script is the perfect key to opening up the Middle East culture and even further-flung eastern lands and languages.

The lessons will be specialized to your aims in a fun and realistic way. In my teaching; everything we learn, we must also use in our conversations. We will increase all your skills in listening, speech, conversation, reading, and comprehension.

Dear violin lovers! I'm a violin teacher for 10 years now, I have been teaching in Portugal and the Netherlands. My lessons can be given in English, Portuguese, French or Spanish.

Playing the violin is my passion, especially when I can pass on my knowledge and love for music to my students of all ages and levels.

I work as a team with you, finding the right method that fit your needs. What is important for me is to work on a good connection with the instrument and find the right basis for the start of your violin playing.
In my violin lessons, I would like also to share with you my musical knowledge, show you recordings of great violin players, prepare with you pieces that you always wanted to play and give you the tools so you can achieve your goals in music. I like to share the general knowledge of violin playing as well as basic and intermediate music theory lessons so you can enter in the world of music, but especially to have fun!!

My lessons can be shared between violin and theory together depending on what you are looking for.

I did my Bachelor at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with the teachers Maria Milstein and Eliot Lawson and completed my Masters in Performance degree with excellency as well in Amsterdam under the guidance of Liviu Prunaru and Mathieu van Bellen while studying baroque violin with Shunske Sato.

I have my own violin class in Amsterdam, and I love teaching.

The most important things to me is to combined pleasure, hard working and sharing.

Currently studying classical trumpet at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, I started my musical studies in Guyana and New Caledonia. When I arrived in Paris, I had the chance to benefit from the teaching of Guy Touvron (Schola Cantorum) and Clément Saunier (CRR de Paris) for about 4 years.

I was also able to benefit, through masterclasses, from the advice of great world-famous trumpeters such as Allen Vizzuti (USA), Thomas Hooten (USA), Hakan Hardenberger (Sweden), David Guerrier (France), Miroslav Petkov (Bulgaria ) ...

I suggest you discover and / or deepen the technique of the trumpet; having worked for a long time with a physiotherapist specialized for musicians, we will be able to address points such as posture, breathing techniques, projection, opening of sound .... Essential points for building a game that is both healthy and staff !

Also, my teaching combines music theory and the aspects allowing to better understand and feel the music, that is to understand at the same time in a theoretical and musical way what the score releases. These two traits of learning are a basis which to my taste brings a technical solidity and an artistic sensibility closely linked.

I will guide you for the choice of material (trumpet, mouthpiece, mutes etc ...) and on the purchase of sheet music for beginners and / or those who need advice on their instruments.

I give flute lessons for all ages (preferably on recorder or fife/picco if you start before 7 years), recorder, piano and theory. I speak French & Russian (bilingual), English and Dutch.
I live in Amsterdam-IJburg. You can come to my studio or I can come to you Do you not live in Amsterdam or do you rarely come? Then a mix of online and face-to-face is possible.

Over the years I have built a path for my students that respects technical development and the desire to express oneself and have fun with the instrument.
In the first phase, at each meeting, I provide the tools and the knowledge to master an aspect of the instrument. The aim of this phase is to make the student technically independent in a short time, so that he can play at any convenient time and choose for himself what he wants to play. My name is Matteo, I'm a professional bassist from Brussels, currently based in Amsterdam.
I perform and have performed with renowned musicians and bands from many different scenes and styles, bringing me to venues all over the world (USA, UK, Germany, Denmark, France, Romania, Portugal, Spain...).
I have a deep passion for music ever since I started playing 16 years ago, and would like to share it with you!

My name is Mathis and I am from Germany, currently studying at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I play bass/tenor trombone and tuba on a professional level (I am regularly subbing in e.g. the Metropole Orkest or the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw) as well as piano and trumpet on an advanced level. Hello everyone! I’m Taras a professional panflute player. I started playing the panflute when I was 5 years old. Ever since then I spent every day improving my skills and perfecting my craft. Throughout my career I had won numerous prices and was able to perform throughout Europe. I’m currently studying at the Conservatory van Amsterdam. I’m teaching private lessons as well as giving masterclasses at festivals. Hello, my name is Marlou. I was nine years old when I first held a guitar. It was love at first sight. I always have my guitar with me. I've been teaching for ten years, and after a year of lessons, one of my students uttered the unforgettable line: "My guitar is my soulmate." With a guitar, you have a friend for life. I want everyone to experience that.
Everyone learns differently. Some people want to learn notes and visualize sheet music, while others play by ear. Some want to hear a song first and sing it without a guitar, while others want to play along right away. It's all possible. In your first lesson, you can tell me what you want to learn, and I tailor my lessons accordingly.
After each lesson, I'll give you exercises to practice at home. The more you practice at home, the faster we'll progress. If you'd like, you can record the lesson so you can listen to it again at home and practice along with it.
I'll teach you all the basic chords. I'll pay close attention to your guitar posture and the way you place your hands and fingers on the guitar. The better you master the basic chords, the easier it will be to learn new and more complex things later. I can also teach you how to strum the guitar. And if you're interested, I can teach you how to read music.

If you'd like to learn to sing while you perform, I can teach you simple tricks to make singing easier. I'm not a singing teacher, but thanks to my initial training in speech therapy, CVT (Complete Vocal Training) singing lessons, and my stage experience as a singer, I have extensive knowledge of learning proper breathing and training your breath support. I can also teach you how to overcome your shyness, if that's your problem. Playing and singing at the same time will then become a lot of fun.
