ACW is a formal course offered in the American Liberal Arts Program (ALAP). For American students, it is essential that they take writing courses such as English Composition (EC), Critical thinking and Written Communication (CTWC), Technical Writing (TW), so as to foster their technical and critical skills which they utlilize in short essays, long essays, research papers, M.A theses, and PhD dissertations. During this course, the student will be taught in accordance with his academic skills. Different students will be assigned different academic tools to build his writing and critical skills. Eventually, the student will learn how to defend his formal position in formal writings. The course will also offer opportunities to write creatively and expression opinions in creative manners, including short poetry and short stories.
