Je viens d'une petite ville de campagne nommée Beuzeville (27) dans l'Eure en Normandie.
J'ai toujours été intéressée par les langues, mais ma passion reste la musique. Je suis pianiste, flûtiste, guitariste et bassiste. J'adore composer mes propres chansons.
A côté, je suis chercheuse dans le domaine des sciences de l'enseignement et désire continuer à enseigner l'anglais (grâce à la licence que j'ai obtenue) et le français langue étrangère.

Je suis enseignante depuis maintenant cinq ans, et j'espère enseigner encore et encore! J'adore ce que je fais et je pense qu'il est très important, lorsqu'on enseigne, d'aimer ce qu'on enseigne et à qui on enseigne.
Mais de l'autre côté, je pense qu'il est primordial que l'élève se sente en sécurité avec son enseignant, qu'il l'apprécie et que le cours ne devienne pas un fardeau mais un instant d'apprentissage agréable.
Je favorise l'échange, c'est à dire que j'apprécie l'honnêteté entre enseignant et apprenant. J'essaye toujours de faire en sorte de dissiper cette différence de "statut" entre l'élève et moi. J'aime ne pas brusquer mes apprenants. Mais quand il faut avancer dû à des examens par exemple, je suis capable de faire un cours intensif!
Je privilégie les besoins de l'apprenant et essaye de faire le maximum pour que celui-ci puisse s'améliorer à son rythme. J'aime beaucoup m'investir dans des projets pédagogiques!

J'aime ce métier d'enseignante car mes parents sont eux - mêmes enseignants de langue. J'ai appris grâce à eux l'art d'enseigner et adore le mettre en pratique et rechercher de nouvelles idées pédagogiques! D'ou mes recherches en sciences de l'éducation.

Als je bezig bent met zingen kan je zelfs een heel ander gevoel hebben en je kunt ervoor zorgen dat je de rest van de dag extra energie hebt.

Je lichaam is je instrument bij het zingen. We proberen dat instrument zo mooi mogelijk te laten klinken ..

Tijdens de zanglessen zijn we ook bezig met articulatie, de uitspraak van vreemde talen en ook aan de betekenis van en je gevoel bij een bepaald stuk. Natuurlijk bepalen we samen wat voor soort muziek je gaat zingen. Ook maken we samen een ontdekkingsreis naar jouw favoriete muziek.

Après les deux premières leçons consacrées au bec et au manche pour la production sonore, nous commencerons immédiatement à jouer ensemble des duos super faciles pour pratiquer votre capacité d'écoute, faire attention à l'autre, entraîner l'oreille également. J'utilise normalement le livre de Peter Wastall (intitulé Learn as you play) comme support, mais ce n'est pas obligatoire. Il y a plein de bons livres d’ailleurs !

Êtes-vous un étudiant intermédiaire/avancé ?? Je suis sûr que vous pouvez encore vous améliorer dans toutes les bases, mais à un niveau différent. Je vous apprendrai l'importance du "voicing" (technique nommée par le saxophoniste et pédagogue américain Donald Sinta) pour améliorer votre production et projection sonore ainsi que la capacité de corriger et d'améliorer l'intonation. Vous pouvez tout apprendre sur le phrasé et l'interprétation musicale, de la musique tonale aux compositions atonales contemporaines. Et pourtant, vous pouvez améliorer votre jeu ensemble, en pratiquant en duo sur différents aspects comme l'accordage, l'équilibre, l'interprétation, la performance, etc.

Hi, my name is Jim. I'm an electronic music producer with a Master’s degree in Music from the Fontys Academy of Arts (Rockacademie) in Tilburg, Netherlands. Music has always been my way of exploring the world — through raw field recordings, synthesis, and emotional storytelling. Over the past 12 years, I’ve developed a complete, self-sufficient creative process: from concept to composition, sound design to vocal production, mixing, mastering, and live performance. I’m passionate about helping others gain those same end-to-end technical skills — so they can bring their own musical vision fully to life.

As Malvae, I’ve written, sung, recorded, produced, mixed, mastered, and performed all of my work. My music reached #17 in the Spotify Viral 50 charts in the USA, gathered millions of streams, and featured in international film productions including King of the Streets and Netflix’s Terrace House Japan. One of the most formative moments in my career was my Amazonas album project, where I traveled into the Amazon rainforest to record and manipulate natural sounds. 90% of that album was created entirely from these field recordings, reshaped through granular synthesis and advanced sound design into a cohesive sonic journey. That experience deeply shaped how I approach my music and how I teach sound design and composition.

I’ve headlined shows at iconic venues like Melkweg Amsterdam with immersive, self-built audiovisual live sets using Ableton Live, modular gear, sequencers, and Resolume for live integrated visuals. I curated my own events and performed at venues like A’dam Tower, OT301. I also teach at studios such as Wisseloord in Hilversum, guiding students through the technical and creative intersections of sound and performance.

Selected Works & Collaborations:

My EP Like Bees to a Hive began as a soundscape for fashion brand Lobomar’s collection Final Orders, Please, presented at the Amsterdam World Museum. I collaborated with South African poet Julia-Beth Harris, integrating her spoken word into a seamless, atmospheric release. From sequential Prophet 6 textures to ADX1 drum machine layers and detailed field recordings, I handled every layer, from concept through multitrack production to the final live performance in London.

My Chrysalis EP, released as a limited-edition heavyweight red vinyl, pushed that even further, combining ethereal vocals, analog grit, and unique textures to craft an emotionally rich release. I personally led every part of the project’s technical and creative execution, from arrangement and vocal production to final mixing, mastering and vinyl press preparation.

In addition to my own projects, I’ve worked as a vocal producer and mixing engineer, including on Esther Veen’s EP Before I Go, where I handled recording, complex vocal layering, creative processing, production, multivocal arrangement and final mixing to deliver a polished, high-impact sound.

Avec plus de 200 élèves au cours de ma carrière, plus de 500 concerts (principalement en Espagne, mais aussi en Europe et quelques mini-tournées aux États-Unis), 15 CD/EP/singles publiés (en tant que leader, sideman et producteur), une licence en guitare jazz-musique moderne (Taller de Músics - Barcelone), une demi-licence en piano jazz (Conservatori del Liceu - Barcelone) et une longue carrière musicale professionnelle à mes côtés, jouant une multitude de styles différents (pop, rock, funk, métal, jazz, folk, rumba, reggae...), je suis venu de Barcelone à Rotterdam pour poursuivre mon parcours musical en suivant le master de latin chez Codarts.

Je travaille comme professeur de musique depuis environ 12 ans (j'ai 29 ans), en donnant des cours particuliers et dans différentes écoles de musique, la plus importante étant l'« Escola de Música Creu Alta » de Sabadell (Barcelone), qui est l'une des plus grandes écoles de musique d'Espagne (avec plus de 900 élèves), dans laquelle j'étais responsable du département de musique moderne.

J'enseigne la guitare (électrique et classique), le piano (électrique et classique), la composition, la production musicale (avec Logic Pro), la musique d'ensemble et la théorie musicale moderne à TOUS NIVEAUX, des débutants aux personnes souhaitant se préparer à la licence de musique. Je m'adapte parfaitement aux besoins et aux attentes de l'élève. Fort de ma grande expérience, je planifie les cours avec soin. Je sais quels morceaux et exercices fonctionnent le mieux en fonction des aspects à travailler (tempo, accords, gammes, sonorité, improvisation…). En voyant quelqu'un jouer, je distingue ses points forts et ses points faibles, pour que vous ne perdiez pas de temps ! De plus, je suis quelqu'un d'amusant et très empathique, donc on s'amuse bien, c'est le plus important !

Je parle 6 langues : catalan, espagnol, portugais, français, néerlandais et anglais, nous pouvons donc faire les cours dans l'une de ces langues.

Cours en 6 langues ! Avec plus de 200 élèves à mon actif, plus de 500 concerts (principalement en Espagne, mais aussi dans toute l'Europe et quelques mini-tournées aux États-Unis), 15 CD/EP/singles publiés (en tant que frontman, sideman et producteur), une licence en guitare jazz-moderne (Taller de Músics - Barcelone), une demi-licence en piano jazz (Conservatori del Liceu - Barcelone) et une longue carrière musicale professionnelle au cours de laquelle j'ai joué différents styles (pop, rock, funk, métal, jazz, folk, rumba, reggae...), je suis venu de Barcelone à Rotterdam pour poursuivre mon parcours musical en suivant le master de latin chez Codarts.

J'enseigne la musique depuis environ 12 ans (j'ai 29 ans), en cours particuliers et dans différentes écoles de musique, dont la plus importante est l'Escola de Música Creu Alta de Sabadell (Barcelone). C'est l'une des plus grandes écoles de musique d'Espagne (plus de 900 élèves), où j'étais responsable du département de musique moderne.

J'enseigne la guitare (électrique et classique), le piano (électrique et classique), la composition, la production musicale (avec Logic Pro), la musique d'ensemble et la théorie musicale moderne à TOUS NIVEAUX, des débutants aux étudiants souhaitant obtenir une licence de musique. Je m'adapte parfaitement aux besoins et aux envies de mes élèves, mais grâce à mon expérience, je planifie soigneusement les cours et sais quels morceaux et exercices fonctionnent le mieux en fonction des aspects à travailler (tempo, accords, gammes, feeling, improvisation, etc.). En regardant quelqu'un jouer, je vois ses points forts et ses points faibles, pour que vous ne perdiez pas de temps ! Je suis aussi quelqu'un de drôle et très empathique, alors on s'amuse, et c'est le plus important !

Je parle 6 langues : catalan, espagnol, portugais, français, néerlandais et anglais, nous pouvons donc faire les cours dans n'importe laquelle de ces langues.

Mijn lessen zijn gericht op het maken van bass-heavy muziek met een sterke focus op ritme, groove en impact. We werken diepgaand met 808’s, drums en sounddesign, zodat je leert hoe je krachtige low-end creëert die echt werkt in de mix.
