I have a Ph.D. in Mathematics and a Master and undergraduate degree in Mathematics. I am tutoring as I really enjoy teaching.
I have been tutoring mathematics, statistics and computer science for the past 5 years and consistently receive high standards in feedback and in my students' grades.
My aim as a tutor is to create in my students a deep understanding and confidence in their subjects. My approach varies depending on the student`s needs and learning style. However, my teaching philosophy is based on encouraging students to think for themselves, using real-world examples wherever possible. I start from topics the students are comfortable with and move gradually towards more complex areas as their confidence builds. I use questions and homework to check to understand continually.
At the initial meeting, we identify our goals and structure of how we are going to reach them.

For 8 years, I lectured at The University of Manchester, I have taught classes in computing and mathematics at undergraduate and masters level as well as supervising PhD students.
I have continuously tutored students from UK GCSE level and A-level for the past 15 years.
I tutored in the UK, under the UK grading system and all of my students at A-Level received A and A* grades, as well as my students at GCSE level achieving the highest classifications, when beginning at an average level.
