Nombreux sont ceux qui pensent qu'ils ne savent pas dessiner. Mais dessiner, c'est d'abord observer et oublier ce que l'on pense savoir du sujet pour le (re-)découvrir... La technique dite de "dessiner avec l'hémisphère droit" a été une révélation pour moi dans ma jeunesse car elle m'a permis d'évoluer très rapidement. C'est sur cette base que que je vous aiderai à progresser (ludiquement) dans cet art du croquis.
Avec des exercices concrets pendant une session idéalement de 2 heures, je vous apprendrai à regarder différemment les choses qui nous entourent et des "trucs" pour affronter les difficulté (raccourci, perspective, contre-plongée...) et vous faire évoluer rapidement, sur-mesure en fonction de vos attentes.

I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen.

I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist.

I understand the artistic practice as a way to understand ourselves and the situations which surrounds us. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns.

In addition, you will learn how to work with several mediums, preparing your own material: paintings, canvases, and so on.

You will not only receive individual coaching but as encourage you to look other artists or take into account other references connected with your concerns.

Finding, discussing and retaking solutions together are the core of my classes.

Are you willing to learn drawing or painting? Do you wish to improve what you already know?

I graduated from an art school where I learned all the important classical techniques of drawing, painting and sculpture. I would like to pass on the knowledge I have acquired through my studies and practice and give those who so wish the opportunity to go on a journey into the world of art and improve their language and technique.
The lessons are open to all levels.

The techniques covered range from drawing with pencil, charcoal and pastel chalk to all painting styles (watercolor, oil, acrylic, tempera). You have the opportunity to experiment on different types of paper (with different weights and colors) and canvases.

The topics change from lesson to lesson and can range from the human body to the landscape to the wildlife, depending on your preferences and desires.

Particular attention is paid to the method so that the finished work is clean, pleasant and as expressive as possible.

Nice to meet you, I'm Daniel. I'm a (private) art teacher, I'm also a freelance artist and have been working as one for about 7 years. I'm looking for students in Utrecht, I have a teaching space available in my apartment (I can share my address when you contact me), but am also able to travel to your desired space within the city.
I can also teach via webcam, but I do recommend my in-person classes, seeing as they're more immersive and educational.

I unfortunately do not speak Dutch (yet), but am confident we can overcome any potential language barrier we come across.

I have the most experience in teaching teenagers and preteens, so I think we would definitely be a good match if you're a parent or guardian looking for a teacher for your child.

¿Te gustaría poder ilustrar los mundos y las historias que te imagines?

¿Quieres aprender a crear a los personajes para un videojuego, animación, cuento infantil, cómic o en cualquier formato? ¿O te gustaría poder dibujar tus personajes favoritos?

Si tienes esas inquietudes, me encantaría ayudarte.

Me gusta enfocar las clases de manera que el nivel actual de dibujo del alumno no es lo importante. El margen de mejora siempre irá evolucionando. Me gusta llevar mis clases hacia el diseño de personajes, hacia lo general como la psicología del color y las formas, ya que son conceptos asimilables y altamente útiles, independientes del nivel de dibujo. Por ello, mis clases están dirigidas a todas las edades y nivel de dibujo.

Trato también de enfocarlas hacia las preferencias y gustos de cada alumno, mostrándoles que todo lo que les gusta, les gusta por algo, que nada se deja al azar y que ellos también pueden entender cómo hacer que sus dibujos reflejen lo que quieren transmitir. Incluso, para crear sus portfolios o información visual para un proyecto o historia propia.

Doy clases particulares con alumnos de diferentes partes del mundo, por lo que, muchas de mis clases las he podido realizar tanto en Inglés como en Francés.

Estudié animación 2D en Francia, y gracias a esta formación, mi trabajo se ha nutrido del dinamismo, storytelling, la expresividad, propia de este medio, además de la sensibilidad por el color y las formas que suelo utilizar para insuflar un estilo único tanto a mis diseños originales como a mis fanarts.

En estas clases exploraremos el dibujo del natural: personas, lugares y escenas cotidianas.

Podemos trabajar a partir de objetos reales, fotografías o ilustraciones.
Si te interesa el manga, el dibujo a tinta o el ukiyo-e (grabado japonés tradicional), también podemos explorar ese estilo.

Si tienes algo que te gustaría dibujar, puedes traerlo a la clase.
Si no, utilizaremos materiales de referencia que he preparado.

No necesitas experiencia previa. Los principiantes son bienvenidos.

Puedes dibujar en papel con lápiz o rotulador, o también en una tableta si prefieres trabajar digitalmente.

Las clases se adaptan a tu nivel y a tus intereses.

Actualmente estoy basado en Tokio y ofrezco clases presenciales en Tokio, Yokohama y Kawasaki, además de clases online.
Si lo deseas, también podemos salir a la calle y dibujar juntos observando la ciudad.

I can teach you how to construct perspective, make concept sketches, but also how to overcome a creative block by working with the non-dominant (creative) part of your brain.
