GREEK: The teacher of this subject is addressed to non Greek speakers interested in learning the Modern Greek language. The learner will acquire the language skills necessary for basic activities and situations that they might need, such as introducing him/herself and of course various kinds of communication in Greek like Interpersonal Communication, communication with a doctor, etc. ANCIENT GREEK: The learner will acquire good basic knowledge of Ancient Greek and he/she will be able, gradually, to understand the ancient Greek texts from the original. He/She will be taught on a text-centric basis starting with "made-up" or adapted texts and over the time he/she will come into contact with authentic ancient texts. At the end learners will be able to understand all the basic morphological and syntactic phenomena of Ancient Greek in their contextual context. GRAMMAR: Grammar is incorporated in the above courses because it is considered as a very important element in the learning of a language by the teacher.
