Nowadays, knowing one or more foreign languages is essential. However, one does not always have the time or inclination to do it on his own. Convenient online lessons might be just what you need. As a translator and language lover, I enjoy to pass on my knowledge to students and to make them realise the potential of being able to communicate in a foreign language, through dynamic and effective methods.

I have been teaching Italian, Spanish and German for many years and, thanks to my experience, I have structured a course in which grammar and vocabulary of the chosen language are combined with the culture.

I am an Italian translator and have a strong passion for foreign languages, which have been my lifelong object of study and work. I have studied many of them during my school and university career, including Arabic, Polish and Dutch, but my main working languages are Spanish, German and English. Having studied Translation and Interpreting for three years in Spain and one year in Germany, I had the opportunity to deepen my linguistic and cultural knowledge (as well as the satisfaction of obtaining a four-year Spanish degree). Currently, I am continuing my studies, in fact I am attending a Master's degree course in Interpretation (language combination: Spanish and German).
Since 2019, I have been giving Italian lessons for foreigners. From this job, which began out of necessity, I discovered a predisposition and, above all, a great passion for teaching, which I want to cultivate.

Thanks to all these experiences, I learnt to treasure the positive and constructive comments I received, and also to know my limits as a teacher and as a translator, in order to improve as a professional and as a person. In addition, I have developed and/or consolidated many qualities and skills such as interpersonal skills, flexibility, management and organisation of my work and, specifically as a teacher, the ability to recognise the needs of my students, adapting lessons according to the choice of topics, materials and methodology. For me, it is essential to transmit everything I know, and then watch my students grow. In fact, my greatest satisfaction is to see progress in them as a result of their and my commitment.

Ever since I was a child, I have studied foreign languages. I attended a linguistic high school and then studied Translation and Interpretation in Spain. I am currently continuing my studies with a Master's degree in Interpreting.

As an Italian Opera singer, I help since many years singers with the right pronunciation of the repertoire they sing, helping them in shaping the language in a clear way, which also helps the singing.

Our lesson will involve speaking, pronunciation exercises and singing.
We will start the lesson by reading the text and finding the right direction and emphasis.
We will focus on the sounds and how to produce them.
In the second part of the lesson, we will apply all of the above to the singing!

During the university period I gave private lessons to erasmus students in Italy and now I give individual Italian lessons in Amsterdam and online.

If you wish to brush up your Italian, resume a past series of lessons, or simply start from scratch learning Italian, this is the right lesson for you! I like to personalize each class/course according to the needs and goals of my students. My classes are focused on improving the student's communication skills. At beginner and lower intermediate levels, I prefer using a text book/ student book in the first part of the class. I usually use "Nuovissimo Progetto Italiano" and "Arrivederci" by Edilingua, or "Nuovo Espresso" and "Dieci" by Alma Publishing. For the second part of the lesson, I create engaging contents using original videos, press articles, extracts from blogs and social media, literary texts. If the students do not feel comfortable using Italian from scratch, I can switch to English, German, or Dutch. The course fee includes the correction of home assignments.

My name is Dani and I am Mexican. I always ask my students about their specific goals and their preferred way of learning a language. In my classes I like to take a conversational approach, but this depends entirely on the needs of my students. I use different books with different didactic material, mostly Aula Plus and Bitacora. I also try to practice all skills: talking, writing and listening. If the student wants it, I leave homework, which I correct during the week before the next lesson, so that we can make the most of the lesson time. I share a word or phrase of the week with my students to build a useful vocabulary. Teaching is my passion. I feel motivated by the progress of my students, which I believe also keeps them motivated. German and Spanish are my native languages and I speak fluent English, I also speak fluent Dutch (with a little accent). Therefore, I can explain concepts in all these languages. However, I prefer to speak Spanish as much as possible, also for the beginners lessons, because I believe that people learn the language better that way.

I have a FPELE certificate: Spanish as a Foreign Language Teacher Training. And I have taught A1 to B2 level at a language institute in Spain.
