I am an experienced English teacher with a level 5 TEFL certificate. I've previously taught English as a foreign language to a range of students, from classes of school children, to private tuition and preparation for Cambridge English exams to adults learning it as a hobby in their free time. I believe that learning languages should be fun and tailor my lessons to the needs of each student. As a Languages graduate I know that speaking in another language can be daunting and you can feel silly if you make mistakes, but my aim is to encourage natural conversation and focus on fluency, we can learn a lot by making mistakes! I like to make language learning interactive and cover interesting and current topics, rather than just focusing on learning lists and lists of vocabulary and grammar rules. I really enjoy teaching and seeing my students progress and become more and more confident in their abilities. I think the key to learning a language is practice and confidence, and I aim to help my students with both of these through relaxed but structured lessons tailored to their needs. I have experience working with beginners and younger students to advanced students and adults, so can really adapt my lessons to suit you.
I'm a recent graduate, and both during and after my degree I spent time living and teaching in other countries and really love talking to people from different countries and cultures.
