About Me

Hello and Konnichiwa! I'm from Kyushu Island in Japan and have been living in Munich since 2021.
I came here for my master's degree in Historical Linguistics, and during my studies, I started teaching Japanese privately. Whatever you want to learn Japanese for, I'm happy to support you :)

Besides languages, I have other interests: I'm a hobby musician (guitar, drums) and I'm very enthusiastic about it. I love nature and even tried gardening as a career for a while. Otherwise, I'm quite sociable and enjoy talking to people about various topics.

Experience / Qualifications

I've been teaching Japanese since 2023. My strength as a Japanese teacher is not only that I'm a native speaker, but also that I studied linguistics and can answer many of your questions about the Japanese language, from grammar to language history (even if I don't, I've done a lot of research). My motto is, "Curiosity is the best motivation." Therefore, questions are always welcome :) Of course, I also welcome topics like Japanese culture, society, and history!
