I have been teaching violin, viola, and orchestral playing in Finland and Sweden for 30 years.

The experience with publishing Violin and Viola Method Books as well as The Amazing Violin Comics -
Tips for practicing and mental images for learning string instruments helps me to teach you online.

I can provide you with free samples of sheet music, mp3:s and play-along videos on Yotube.

My special interest is to build up a solid playing technique using exercises form the string pedagogy
developed by Paul Rolland.

In order to help students to learn faster we can use visualization and imaginary concepts from The Amazing
Violin Comics publication. To imagine how something feels creates new ways of learning by engaging our emotions
and imagination.

I am a person that likes to make other happy and feel good. I have been born in Helsinki in Finland but was in the Swedish speaking school for most of my childhood. I love to play music with friends and make concerts in all kind of places. I have been performing from official state receptions and concert halls to opening of tennis courts, funerals and weddings in Scandinavia, Thailand, USA and Japan.
I have been studying the Scandinavian teaching ideas in Finland and Sweden and I have been traveling to different schools to study and work with the local teachers.
Besides music I love sports, running, swimming and the Mediterranean culture. In the near future my dream is to move to Greece where I already have my second home.
I like to teach online because during the pandemic my music school had to use only remote teaching. During that perioed I found very effective and fun ways to use the possibilties of remote lessons.

The Tecla y Música Workshop is a space designed to learn and develop your musical and expressive sense through the piano and / or keyboards.
The main objective is to learn to make music and enjoy the learning process and its results.
The material with which we work (songs, instrumental pieces and exercises) is mainly oriented to your musical taste, and the choice is based on gradually expanding your technical and expressive possibilities, while exploring different musical styles.
In this way, different tools are being incorporated to achieve, in a short term, mastery and fluency over the musical language and the instrument.
Given that each student has different interests and concerns, whether playing as a hobby or developing a professional career, composing, improvising, etc., the orientation of the classes is built according to the possibilities and particular needs of each case.
The work proposal implies a weekly class frequency to achieve optimal work dynamics and that the results are visible in a short term.
There is also the possibility of taking isolated classes in order to solve a specific objective such as developing and perfecting some particular aspect of music practice and / or theory as well as preparing instrument exams or theoretical subjects for institutions of musical studies.

My name is Miriam, I am a graduate in Master of Classical Music at KASK & Conservatorium in Ghent.
I've been teaching cello to children, teenagers and adults for 10 years, so I've acquired the necessary experience to be able to adapt to the different and personal needs and objectives of each student. My teaching methodology focuses on creating a friendly and relaxed environment (which does not mean undemanding!) in which students feel confident to express their own ideas and worries. In my lessons I focus on technical and postural questions, but we also reflect together on the music, as I like my students to develop their own musical ideas and not just imitate the teacher.

I have played the violin for over 20 years and am currently doing a master ́s of music in violin. Music is my passion, I have been teaching violin for 5 years, in music schools as well as privately from the ages of 7 to 60.
My aim in teaching is to enable the student to experience the beauty, richness and also the fun side of music, by helping to develop the technical skills needed to express oneself on the violin. I find it very important to take into account the personal goals and wishes of the student and to create an atmosphere of encouragement, creativity and mutual understanding.
No matter if you are interested in learning to play your favourite tunes just for fun or want to build up strong, solid technique and play demanding repertoire, I would be happy to work with you.The world of music is incredibly rich and I would love to help you on the exciting journey of discovering it. I believe it important to have variety in the process of learning and to help the student to develop good practising habits.

My name is Daniela, and I am a cross-over violist from Costa Rica. I moved to the Netherlands in 2020 to pursue my studies at Codarts Conservatory in Rotterdam, where I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Classical Music (Viola). I am currently continuing my journey at Codarts with a Master's degree in Latin Music.

During my time in the Netherlands, I have been part of a wide range of musical projects across different genres — from classical orchestras and chamber music to pop, jazz, and world music collaborations. I've performed with ensembles such as the Jong Metropole and recorded with various pop, jazz, and fusion bands. I am also the bandleader of my own Latin project, La Reunión, and work as a freelance musician with diverse musical groups.

Before moving to the Netherlands, I studied Music Education at the University of Costa Rica and worked for several years as a private teacher. I have experience teaching violin and viola to both children and adults.

As a teacher, I am kind and patient. I believe in the value of consistent, focused work and in helping students grow step by step. I aim to make the learning process feel easy and fun!

En base a mi formación en el conservatorio, seguiré la misma metodología tratando de adaptarla siempre al alumno, buscando siempre la mejor manera de transmitir mis conocimientos de forma amena y entretenida. Previamente antes de la clase pediría al alumno/a la pieza o piezas que desea tocar. Comenzaríamos las clases con la práctica de ritmos o técnicas que estén presentes en la partitura para poder facilitar posteriormente el aprendizaje de esta.
