I have worked for the past twenty years mainly as a Spanish Language Lecturer at Knox Community College, where I have an outstanding record for being highly organized and dependable, teaching Basic, Intermediate, CSEC, and CAPE Spanish to Hospitality, Business, and Environmental students. Occasionally I have also taught other subjects, such as General Biology, Psychology, Social Sciences, and Communication. I am willing to accept challenging job roles, such as translation, copyediting, proofreading, as well as a Bilingual Research Assistant.
My teaching approach is the Communicative Method, supported by audiovisual materials, conversation practice, role plays, videos, songs, and other activities. I conduct both one-on-one and group tutoring lessons focusing on reading, writing and speaking, with a particular focus on everyday life vocabulary and situations. I also impart knowledge on Hispanic cultural norms and practices as an integral part of my lessons. Furthermore, offer other services such as translations, conversation practice, exam preps, assignment assistance, total immersion learning, and cultural exchange as well as freelance content writing.
