Modeling in Revit for architects and architecture students

This course is for architects and architecture students who want to learn how to use Revit to create a building model.
We will start by talking about the core concepts like what is BIM, the Revit elements hierarchy, and editing elements within the Revit hierarchy.
Then we will go over the interface: we will talk about the recent file screen, the standard interface, how to navigate, and how to do a selection.
then we will start creating a project: we will see how to create a project from a template, how to save a file, create levels, add grids, use temporary dimensions, keyboard shortcuts, and more.
Now we can start learning how to model in Revit: how to create a wall and all that you need to know about walls, adding doors and windows, creating floors, Roof by footprint and roof by extrusion, creating ceilings, etc.

My name is Abdi and i have been teaching interior architecture and general design lessons for several of years. I have graduated from University of Westminster (Interior Architecture - 1st Class Honours) in 2013. I am comfortable teaching College and University students as well as adults looking to enter the interior design profession. I understand as creative individuals, we all process information differently, therefore my teaching methods will be tailored to your requirements. The lessons time slots will also be scheduled around your availability.

I am comfortable with the follow softwares:
- Vectorworks
- Photoshop
- Indesign

I am an architect and I like to teach from time to time. You can get help from me for your project.
I teach based on what you need. We work together on your project. This way you learn the program efficiently and in a short period of time.

My tutoring in Dutch, English and Architecture focuses on personal attention. I believe that every student learns differently, which is why I tailor my approach to your needs and learning style. In language subjects such as Dutch and English, I focus on strengthening grammar, vocabulary and writing skills. For architecture I focus on developing your creative and technical thinking. We work together on drawings, design methods and understanding construction engineering principles. You will learn how to present your designs effectively, both visually and verbally, and get practical tips to take your projects to the next level.

I offer a learning environment that is both motivating and challenging. With patience, clear explanations and a lot of attention to your progress, I ensure that you achieve your goals and can continue with confidence. Together we make learning fun and effective!

My name is Wael and I have been teaching architecture and general design classes for several years. I graduated from the University of Syria (Architecture) in 2015. I feel comfortable teaching college and university students as well as adults who want to enter the interior design profession. Regardless of your experience, I believe I can teach you Revit to accomplish what you need. My typical class is usually between 1-2 hours long. I have been teaching this software since 2013. I still use this software during my design projects. I teach students to adults who are looking to get into the interior design and architecture industry.

- MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

I have academic teaching experience from the TU Eindhoven, where I graduated in architecture. I can teach you how to construct perspective, make concept sketches, but also how to overcome a creative block by working with the non-dominant (creative) part of your brain. My goal is to share my knowledge and passion for drawing while supporting you on your own creative path. I will focus on what feels natural for your growth. Individual approach is key to my method.
