My teaching style is enthusiastic, encouraging, nurturing and creative and I take pride in forming meaningful relationships with my students which builds their confidence and self-belief.

I believe that for children to learn successfully teaching needs to be fun, creative and meaningful to the child. I love helping children smash through barriers to reach their goals and see them experience pride in their achievements.

Mathematics makes our life orderly and prevents chaos. Certain qualities that are nurtured by mathematics are power of reasoning, creativity, abstract or spatial thinking, critical thinking, problem-solving ability and even effective communication skills.

As a full time Data Lead and Exams Officer at Conisborough College, I have a unique view of performance metrics, and the latest knowledge on GCSE exams. With a specialism in Maths, Further Maths, and Physics, my style of teaching is an expression of my experiences as a student and a tutor.

My past tutoring experiences range from teaching secondary school classrooms and a lot of work with 1-on-1's. While I have had State Schooling my successful early experiences with exams (SATS, GCSEs) set me up with a solid foundation and ideal to approach exams by myself and eventually find my area of expertise in everything Maths and Physics.

When it comes to exam preparation, my strategy is always textbook oriented. My principle in education has always been to know what I don't know and then deal with my not-knowing of that chapter/area.
I like to use what is known/understood as a warm up and get creative with it, probing the student's baselines and tactics.
The warm up also gives you the winning-feeling about the subject and this is a feeling that grows and brings clarity such that it guides me year in, year out to go and understand every chapter to answer every topical exam question, and it can for you too.

Regular assessments, including quizzes and tests, will be used to gauge understanding and track progress. My experience enables me to help you as I have achieved a grade A in my Maths A-levels, and am currently studying Biomedical Sciences at university, which involves maths. Being a student myself, I am experienced in exam preparation, and have learnt various study and productivity techniques, all of which I can teach you to aid your academic journey.

I tailor my lessons to students and support them by simplifying difficult concepts, improving understanding and revision of course content through active recall, and enhancing exam technique by doing past paper questions, and by reviewing and improving past answers.
