Photography classes online and/or offline (Basics and Intermediate)

Getting started in photography doesn’t have to be challenging. I'll start with digital and analog camera basics and provide a thorough explanation on photography elementary concepts like Aperture, Shutter Speed and ISO. I will also provide a guide on Color Theory in photography and how to do Narrative photography. If possible, there will be practice classes on the field taking pictures around the city. If the person is interested, I will also teach the basics about analog photography (including how to handle an analog camera, the types of roles that exist and how the developing process works). I will use mainly videos and my own presentations but I can provide a range of additional materials if necessary.

I am a 23 year old visual artist and a full-time student of Social and Cultural Anthropology at KU Leuven, focused in experimenting and building bridges between art and social sciences; interested in Ecology, Anthropology, Visual Culture and Gender Studies. I am a highly motivated person with excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
I started my professional career in photography by being a photojournalist for an online journal during 2019. Since then, I have done commissions in digital and analog photography and I have worked with several NGOs and activist collectives.

Portuguese classes with a native speaker (All levels)

According to the level of expertise of the student (I accept students from all levels of knowledge), I will guide the classes with the help of a workbook, extracts from literary texts, newspapers and videos. My focus extends to all areas of learning from Writing, Reading, Speaking and Listening. Portuguese is my mother tongue. The methodology will depend on the preferences of each person.

English classes online and/or offline (A1 to B2 levels)

According to the level of expertise of the student (I accept students from A1 to B2 levels), I will guide the classes with the help of a workbook, focusing on the preparation for the Cambridge English Exam. Therefore, my focus extends to all areas of learning from Writing, Reading, Speaking and Listening. The methodology will depend on the preferences of each person. English is my second language and I have advanced training from a highly prestigious English School since I was 5 years old. I have a C2 proficient level certificate (CPE). I also have experience in giving private English lessons.
