I currently offer three types of lessons and also do informal sessions.
1. Personalised lessons where we follow YOUR needs. We make a program, and I provide the resources, documents, information and activities. Together, we work on everything you need to reach your target, but also to communicate, understand the people and the culture.

2. General lessons in which we follow a textbook and we work on ALL language skills with an emphasis on speaking. The textbook is also used for homework and tests are also given at the end of each unit.

3. Preparation for a French proficiency test we follow a plan based on your level (A1-C1), your target and the official requirements.

Finally, in the conversation/informal sessions, we can choose a topic (I can do it if you don't have any particular idea) that we discuss, we can also have spontaneous chats or correcting some material of yours! These sessions are NOT structured lessons.

I am a qualified French and English teacher who travelled a lot in the last 7 years and met amazing people and students!
Along with teaching, my other dear passion is languages (what a surprise!). Being myself a polyglot, I have discovered so many amazing things about learning languages. I've always believed that languages were not only important for communication but were also essential in order to understand societies, points of views, cultures and even ourselves! This passion is one of the reasons why I became a teacher but also because I truly believe in the power of education as I was myself a little girl for whom learning was the key to a better life!

Opleiding

I graduated in France with a Master 2 FLE (French as a Foreign Language), and I got a PGCE in the UK to teach languages. I am therefore a qualified French teacher for non-French speakers (FLE) so I can help my students improve their language skills, and to prepare for DELF/DALF exams. I can also help teenagers and young adults to improve their French for their studies.

I am a native French teacher and a graduate in French Philology since 2012. I have 10 years of experience in Belgium and abroad. I offer online classes using a method that I have developed over the years, specifically for online classes.

*My method:*
-During class we focus on speaking. Outside of class, I will send you exercises that I will correct every week (grammar, conjugation, writing...).
-I use a particular technique based on questions/answers to apply the grammar when speaking.
-I use the verbotonal method to correct pronunciation.
-You will also receive access to an application for your Smartphone (to learn the vocabulary).
-Use an interactive whiteboard.
-We will use a shared online notebook to correct your exercises and ask me your questions at any time of the day.

I offer preparation for official exams (DELF, DALF, TCF, EOI, FIDE in Switzerland...). Classes for beginners, intermediate or advanced levels. Preparation of conferences or talks for business people. Job interviews.

The class is a bit different when I work with children or teenagers. I use interactive websites and letters.

2023:
Tutor of Dutch at Varady Language school in Geneva

2021-2022:
I worked at "bijlesthuis," a Dutch tutoring institution, where I primarily taught French, Dutch, and English to adult learners seeking to improve their language skills. During the same period, I also provided classes to other students through Apprentus.

2021:
Through Apprentus and other websites, I assisted several younger students (ages 5-15) in Bern and Geneva, helping them improve their skills in subjects such as Maths and French.

2017-2020:
I worked for three years at a tutoring institution in Geneva called ARA, where I primarily taught French, Mathematics, and English.

During this time, I also spent two years working at a private school called Florimont, where I supported students aged 11-16 across various subjects by assisting them with their homework.

I can teach French, Dutch, and English, Spanish and in German, and I thoroughly enjoy teaching and assisting students in their progress and acquisition of new skills.

As a person, I am flexible, calm, and positive.

I've been preparing students for the A-Levels and GCSE (language + literature). I can prepare you for specific examinations, language lessons in general or teach you Spanish for business. The lessons are for everyone, whatever their age or level (children to adults). I will make sure that you discover the Spanish culture through the lessons, learn the correct pronunciation and of course learn some grammar. I am open to your needs and can speak a few languages to make sure that you understand fully the lessons (of course, we’ll try to use mostly Spanish in all our lessons depending on your level).
