As a professional musician with both Bachelor and Master degrees I have experience teaching at primary schools, secondary schools, music camps, and at home tutelage. I pride myself on being able to tailor lessons to best suit each individual student’s learning style, and on being able to adapt the level of strictness or lightness to the situation. I’ve been learning violin and viola for almost 18 years and throughout this time the most important factor in my learning (other than practice) has been the teachers I had. A bad teacher can make a student quit entirely, and in primary school I almost experienced this. This taught me the importance of a good teacher. In the lessons I give I aim to be encouraging, positive, and to inspire a student to keep going and do their personal best. Throughout my life I’ve moved from rural Australia, gradually down the coast to Sydney, and now all the way to Amsterdam. I wouldn’t have been able to do this without the support of the teachers I’ve had and I hope to be that person for other violinists and violists.

You will start to enjoy playing the piano both during and outside of the time of the class. You will learn how to be able to perform in a way that inspires your audience. I will teach you the basic music theory without going way deep into it because this is a performance class but you will learn what you need to excel in your performance. Additionally, I will teach you the principles of aesthetics of playing the piano. The repertoire that I focus on is mostly Western modern and Classical music, but we can also work on some famous Persian and Turkish pieces if you like. Of course, you are also always welcome to bring your favorite pieces to the class. Contact me for availability.

My name is Ben (26), and I'm a certified drum teacher with about 15 years of experience behind the kit. Previously I have studied jazz drums at Kunstuniversitat of Graz. Currently I'm teaching at multiple institutions in Amsterdam such as: Lucky Beat Music Club, United Pop, British School of Amsterdam.

In addition to my performing work as a drummer and composer, I have been teaching drums to motivated students of different levels and ages for over 20 years. As a certified drum teacher (Amsterdam Conservatory), I have my own teaching practice in the Q-factory in Amsterdam East/Oostpoort: Drum Practice East. I gave lessons and workshops to students at the HKU, the Conservatory Amsterdam (pop and jazz departments), Conservatorium Utrecht, DSOP Amsterdam, Tiroler Landeskonservatorium Innsbruck and Musikhochschule Franz Liszt Weimar (D).

Hello everyone! I’m Taras a professional panflute player. I started playing the panflute when I was 5 years old. Ever since then I spent every day improving my skills and perfecting my craft. Throughout my career I had won numerous prices and was able to perform throughout Europe. I’m currently studying at the Conservatory van Amsterdam. I’m teaching private lessons as well as giving masterclasses at festivals. I teach violin to children and adults, beginners and advanced.

Every student is unique. Besides developing good technique, I also enjoy meeting each student's musical wishes and dreams. Learning to play the violin is a collaborative process!

From the very first lesson, I pay a lot of attention to playing together, because making music together is the most fun there is!

In addition to individual lessons, I support my students' playing in orchestras, ensembles, and bands. There are also several opportunities to perform with the accompaniment of a professional pianist. Once a year, I organize a video recording day with several students for competitions and contests. My students have won awards, both in the Netherlands and internationally.

In addition to individual lessons, I offer a "MY LITTLE VIOLIN" STROLL COURSE for children aged 3-5. This course consists of 10 lessons for young children, introducing them to music and the violin. I also offer this course to English- and German-speaking children.

I teach violin in four different languages: Dutch, German, English and Italian.

Violin lessons at home are also possible.

About Me:
I'm a violinist with the Dutch National Opera & Ballet in Amsterdam. I've worked with numerous orchestras both in the Netherlands and abroad. I also perform chamber music and Brazilian choro (Duo Chorinho, with Alvaro Rovira Ruiz on guitar). I received international training at the conservatories of Hamburg, Rome, and Amsterdam.

I have been working as a violin teacher for over 30 years, including internationally, including a masterclass for Brazilian violin students at the University of Minas Gerais, Brazil.
