There is never a dull moment in class! Each specific class and lesson plan are catered to specific age groups from Pre-K to adults. They consist of engaging movement activities, warm-up, and complex movement combinations. I am an energetic and patient teacher who seriously takes into account the needs and skill level of the student in preparing the lesson plans and material. I teach hip hop, ballet, contemporary, and percussive dance.

My use of dance vocabulary and physical demonstrations allow me to teach the material accurately and effectively. My positive attitude and constant words of encouragement keep students motivated and engaged in the lesson. Students will increase their knowledge and physical vocabulary of the movement style and leave each lesson a better dancer, performer and person.

I encourage students to bring writing materials to each lesson to take notes for any learned vocabulary and each lesson will follow with a recorded video of the movement for the students to refer to until the next lesson.

All Private Sessions Include/Cover:
-1-on-1 lesson including a warm-up, body conditioning, stretching, & cool down
-Recordings of Movement Material
-Music Playlist Listing
-Copy of the Teacher Lesson Plans
-Written Log of Corrections and Improvements

HipHop
Depending on the level, each class will begin with a brief warm up consisting of grooves, isolations, stretching and basic co-ordination drills. Beginner classes tend to work on the above for the first half an hour of class, as well as adding cross floors, while more experienced classes may spend less time on the basics as dancers are expected to have this knowledge. HipHop classes are available in various levels with various instructors. All of my classes will learn choreography each class (with the exception of HipHop Foundation/Technique classes).

HipHop Foundations & HipHop Technique
Whether you are a brand new dancer looking to learn the basics or an experienced dancer wanting to perfect your technique, these are the classes where you will grow the most! Focusing on grooving, execution, texture, isolations as well as touching on various street styles such as, Waving, Locking, improvisation, tools and more
Teaching about musicality, rhythm and co-ordination, grooves and super funky moves! also progress the awareness of the body
this short-term program is perfect for any dancer wanting to get an early start to their dance training!

Breakdance
Each class is divided into age groups and will begin as an 'open level' option until we can better determine the levels of dancers within the classes. We will focus on the foundation of breakdance and learn things such as, toprock, downrock, six-step, c-c and touch on freezes and power moves as the class level progresses.

Improvisation`

This course is designed for anyone curious about the practice of improvisation. Dancers and non- dancers alike are welcome. The skills developed in this class are applicable to any creative process as well as to everyday life. In this class we engage in exercises and improvisational structures to heighten our awareness, broaden our individual movement vocabulary and develop our skills in instant composition. The class also introduces basic partnering skills and often involves optional performance opportunities. This is a dynamic class that fosters both the ability to work in ensemble as well as strengthening the individual’s personal aesthetics and movement style.

Dance improvisation is the process of spontaneously creating movement. Development of improvised movement material is facilitated through a variety of creative explorations including body mapping through levels, shape and dynamics schema. ... The Contemp / Improv class will make time for improvisation.

Dance Improvisation Definition: Dance improvisation is not only about creating new movement, but is also defined as freeing the body from habitual movement patterns. ... As a dancer improvisation is important because it assists students to think on the spot, make quick decisions, and trust their technique.bring

Dance belongs to EVERYBODY
My proposition is under the name of Performing art, like life.
The proposition contains different exercises and tasks that varies between structured and improvised:

Individual Improvisation : the improvisation aims to let the space for the dancers to develop their way of moving, to develop their understanding of their bodies related to the notion of space and time. The task would focus on the interaction with the music that they chose at first. This last would create an atmosphere that they relate to and a music that they feel connected to in order to drive them slowly in connecting their bodies and rythme. The improvisation task would play throughout variety of notions : music / silence / speaking / construction of time / construction of space.

Technical: variety of technical bases of contemporary dance would be introduced. The use of the body/ choreography/ the use of the space/ the use of surroundings/ using objects / contact improvisation.

Duet improvisation : This task is based on how the individual could relate to other body. The aim is that someone improvises while the other watches which brings a close connection to each one another as a group and start to see dancing and moving in details and closely. The second step is repeating what they saw or repeat simultaneously. This could be a good tool to try to work on memory and how they perceive the movements. (The repetition could be not identical to the previous version but at least it could take some items as rythm way of use of the body time and space together)

Yoga

The group improvisation: this improvisation would need a group of people together in which the task Would be OPEN for any suggestions.
