I work as a music teacher in a primary school. I play baglama, guitar, and percussion. I have a bachelor's degree in journalism and a Turkish teaching certificate from a university in Istanbul. As a second university, I continue to study Turkish Language and Literature. I have been teaching Turkish for many years. I am especially good at working with children.

During our classes, I'll pay attention to your issues/needs/difficulties, always taking notes during each class, and teaching the techniques to fix them.

Fretless Guitar and Maqam Music Lessons (In-Person OR Online) with an Experienced Teacher

I started playing fretless when I was in the university. I worked as a professional musician for many years. I attended the masterclasses of master musician Erkan Oğur to improve my fretless technique. I currently teach music at a primary school and give private instrument lessons.

I was born in Istanbul in 1983. I started teaching Turkish while studying Turkish Language and Literature at university. I worked in a language school and at universities. I have been teaching Turkish professionally for more than 16 years. I also taught Turkish for 5 years when I was a university student. In 2018, I obtained a TESOL certificate and also began teaching English.

I teach both adults and children. Creating a comfortable learning environment for my students is one of my top priorities. If you would like to learn Turkish or English in a consistent and structured way, I would be happy to work with you.

Even though I use a communicative approach, my lessons are supported by a solid understanding of grammar, as Turkish has a very different structure.

I use the course book set prepared by Istanbul University. It follows a strategic approach to learning Turkish and includes all language skills—reading, grammar, writing, listening, watching, and speaking—from A1 to C2. All of these skills are essential for conversation.

I teach English for the A1 and A2 levels.

The workbook offers many exercises for homework or revision, and I support the book with my own authentic materials. I also use an interactive board that you can view anytime, and you can edit it as well. Repetition-based speaking practice plays an important role in my lessons.

I speak English well, and a bit of Italian, and I have also studied Persian and German grammar. I am interested in literature.
