‘Analogue Photography’ refers to photography using an analogue camera and film. A roll of film is loaded into the camera and the magic begins once you start clicking: light interacts with the chemicals in the film and an image is recorded. The pictures collected on your film roll come to life when the film is processed. ALL MATERIALS PROVIDED: 35MM CAMERA, FILM AND CHEMISTRY INCLUDED On this course I will teach you the basics of analogue photography - old school film photography. You will learn how to load film, take accurate light readings for correct exposures, you will learn about depth of field and shutter speed. Once you have taken your first roll of film you will then learn how to develop this film. Other students may wish to work with pinhole photography and learn how to build their own cameras. minimum booking 4 places

Photoshop is a powerful app for photographers. As a photographer, you’ll need to be able to sort through the many complex features that will help make photos better. I’ve designed this course as a practical guide to Photoshop that’s specifically made for learning photographers. You will learn how to make selections, create masks, retouching portraits and use advanced techniques to not only improve photographs, but to turn them into entirely new images.

Remember the goal - you want to make good art. A good critique will give you new insight, new direction, career advice and energy to do this! Where am I going with this? Too much or not enough? Learn to define your position, your place and your market. I will offer perspective on your strengths and constructive feedback on what needs to be improved. There are ways to inspire what is working and how to improve your weaker points that builds confidence, technique and style. Editing is key - colour, form, aesthetic, emotion, influence and pace. I can help you understand exciting trends in Contemporary Art and that relevance to Art History. I will provide you with the resources to dig deeper and show you your next steps.
