In this class, we’ll focus on why reactions happen, not just what happens. We’ll start with the basics — structure, acid-base behavior, resonance, and stability — then move into core reaction types like electrophilic addition (alkenes and alkynes), nucleophilic substitution and elimination, electrophilic aromatic substitution (EAS), reductions, oxidations, and aldol reactions. You’ll learn to see patterns, predict mechanisms, and connect topics intuitively, so you can stop memorizing and start understanding. My goal is to make organic chemistry feel like solving a puzzle — once you know the rules, the pieces start to fit perfectly.
