I am a professional violinist. I received my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in violin from the Conservatory of music 'Alessandro Scarlatti' in Palermo. I also took a course in chamber music at Université de Montréal.

I teach students of all ages and levels.
I have 3 years of teaching experience in Italy and Germany ( privately and at music schools ).

In my lessons, I support students in building a strong connection with their instrument and nurturing a positive bond with music. By focusing on developing listening skills, rhythmic awareness, and effective use of the body, I help them unlock their musical creativity. I've been learning English and French since I was 10, and German since I was 15. I studied in Berlin, Paris, and Bristol, and later completed my bachelor’s degree Switzerland in French (C2 – native level). I also hold two EF diplomas in English (C2 – native) and German (B2). After that, I did my master’s degree in London.

In our first lesson, we’ll chat about what you want to focus on — maybe pronunciation, grammar, or vocabulary. I’ll get a sense of your level through a relaxed conversation, and then we’ll find the best way for you to make progress and enjoy learning the language.

As an Italian Opera singer, I help since many years singers with the right pronunciation of the repertoire they sing, helping them in shaping the language in a clear way, which also helps the singing.

Our lesson will involve speaking, pronunciation exercises and singing.

If you wish to brush up your Italian, resume a past series of lessons, or simply start from scratch learning Italian, this is the right lesson for you! I like to personalize each class/course according to the needs and goals of my students. My classes are focused on improving the student's communication skills. At beginner and lower intermediate levels, I prefer using a text book/ student book in the first part of the class. I usually use "Nuovissimo Progetto Italiano" and "Arrivederci" by Edilingua, or "Nuovo Espresso" and "Dieci" by Alma Publishing. For the second part of the lesson, I create engaging contents using original videos, press articles, extracts from blogs and social media, literary texts. If the students do not feel comfortable using Italian from scratch, I can switch to English, German, or Dutch. The course fee includes the correction of home assignments.

I am a native Mandarin Chinese speaker, born in Gansu Province, China, and I completed my secondary education in Sichuan. Growing up in different regions of China gave me a rich cultural background and a broad understanding of everyday Chinese life and language.

Later, I moved to Belgium to study at university in Dutch, and today I work as a mechanical engineer. I am also a father of two children. Living abroad and learning new languages myself has helped me understand how challenging — but also how fun — language learning can be.
