Von Haus aus bin ich Musiker, lebe und arbeite seit 45 Jahren on/off in Grossbritannien und habe ueber 35 Jahre Erfahrungen im Unterrichten von Musik, Sprachen und Naturheilkunde. Ich habe Klavier und Dirigieren studiert, als Nebenfaecher Blockfloete und andere Tasteninstrumente, sowie Musikologie.
Mein besonderes Interesse (mein Spezialgebiet) gilt dem Harmonium und der American Pump Organ. Ich restauriere diese Instrumente auch und trete damit regelmaessig hier in Wales auf.
eine Lehrmethode haengt ab von dem Kenntnisstand und den Erwartungen meiner Schueler und Studenten.
Zur Zeit liegt mein Schwerpunkt auf Erwachsenen, die die augenblickliche Situation nutzen wollen, um ihre Kenntnisse online zu erweitern. Gerne nehme ich auch aeltere Kinder und Jugendliche ab ca. 12 Jahre.

Opleiding

Abitur 1983, 1985- 1990 HfM Detmold, 1991 Gruendung unseres eigenen Verlags, danach Weiterbildung in Naturheilkunde in der Schweiz. Seit Ende der 70er Jahre regelmaessige Konzertauftritte, als Solist oder als Begleiter.

Leservaring

Ich habe 1979 in London meine O-Levels bestanden, dann 1983 Abitur mit Leistungskursen Deutsch und Englisch gemacht, danach Musik an der HfM Detmold studiert. Seit meiner Schulzeit bin ich regelmaessig aufgetreten,erfolgreich bei Wettbewerben gewesen und habe unterrichtet. Meine eigenen Schueler habe ich ebenfalls zu Wettbewerben geschickt und viele von ihnen auf die Aufnahmepruefung verschiedener Hochschulen vorbereitet. Ich bin mit einem britischen Musiker (Waldhorn, Okarina, Querfloete, alle Blockfloeten und Komposition) verheiratet. Nachdem wir in den 90er Jahren in London gewohnt haben, sind wir 2008 nach Wales gezogen. Wir wohnen mit unseren beiden Kindern in einem der schoensten Teile von Wales, den "Valleys". Hier erarbeiten wir uns eigenen Konzertprogramme, recherchieren und publizieren unsere eigenen Noten und unterrichten. Mein "Hobby" ist Irische und Keltische Musik, mit der ich auch buske = Strassenmusik mache. Wir freuen uns ueber Kontakte nach Deutschland und denken, dass online Unterricht eine grosse Zukunft hat.

Wir bieten online Unterricht via Zoom an fuer Erwachsene und aeltere Kinder (ab ca. 12/13 Jahre) fuer bekannte und auch nicht so bekannte Instrumente wie Okarina (bekannt von "Zelda"), die irische/keltische Tin Whistle, oder das Clarineau, auch gerne Saxonette oder Kinderklarinette genannt. Bei den Blockfloeten bieten wir alle Instrumente von Sopran bis Bass an. Im Bereich Tasteninstrumente bieten wir Keyboard/Klavier und Harmonium/Tretorgel an.
Wir sind von Hause aus Musiker und freuen uns, neben unserer Konzerttaetigkeit, Musik zu vermitteln.

Wir bieten Blockfloetenunterricht fuer Erwachsene und Kinder an.
Die Blockfloete ist nicht nur das traditionelle Einsteigerinstrument, sondern ein vollwertiges Mitglied der Holzblasinstrumentenfamilie. Komponisten des 16. und 17. Jhdt. haben bekannte Werke fuer die Sopranfloete geschrieben. Im spaeten 17. und im 18.Jhdt. war die Altfloete "das" Instrument fuer Komponisten wie Bach, Haendel, Vivaldi uvm.
Fuer den "leichten" Einstieg in die Welt der Musik mit kleinen Fingern, ist die Sopranfloete ideal geeignet, Erwachsene koennen gerne sofort mit der groesseren Altfloete (in F, aber keine Panik, das ist "normal") beginnen.
Wer als Erwachsener zwar bei der C-Floete bleiben moechte, aber Sopran "zu klein" findet, dem bietet der Tenor einen wundervollen tiefen und warmen Ton.
Viele Altfloetenspieler werden frueher oder spaeter ein Interesse an der Bassfloete entwickeln. Sie hat einen grundigen, geheimnisvollen tiefen Klang. Leider sind viele Spieler dann darauf angewiesen, dass die Bassstimme in den Violinschluessel uebertragen ist/wird, da sie keinen Bassschluessel lesen koennen. Fuer diese Spieler bieten wir Bassschluessel-Lesen als workshop an.
Wir bieten einen weiteren workshop "Keltisches Spielen auf der Blockfloete", in dem wir die Unterschiede zwischen traditioneller und keltischer Spielweise aufzeigen, erklaeren und mit dem Schueler/Teilnehmer erarbeiten.

Maarten will give you the piano lessons. He can teach classical, and jazz piano. He graduated his studies in the conservatory of Amsterdam with prof. Jan Wijn and graduated with the highest score among piano students (Bachelor of Music, piano). He played several solo and chamber music concerts in concert hall, church, museum, library, hospital and elderly houses. He is regularly invited by Belgium Chamber music festival to play with famous musicians such as guitarist philip Catherine. Recently he graduated master degree in Brussels Conservatorium studying with prof. Boyan Vodenitcharov. Since he has a lot of knowledge of harmonization and counterpoints, he has composed and arranged many works and played many of his own pieces in concerts.

Asako will give the cello lessons. She has master degree, cello performance and chamber music, also has an academic university diploma for Musicology. She studied in Japan, Hungary (Franz Liszt Academy), Norway (Norway Academy of Music), and Netherlands (Conservatorium van Amsterdam, Utrecht Conservatoire).She can teach in Japanese, English and on a basic level in Hungarian and French. Asako can teach the cello for all levels and ages. Especially She is enthusiastic about teaching.

Muziek is niet alleen mijn passie, maar is voor mij ook een manier om met elkaar te communiceren. Als je niet weet hoe dit kan, je kan het wel leren.
Mijn ervaringen als lerares en muzikant waren en zijn nog steeds aan elkaar gekoppeld. Ik heb ruime ervaring opgedaan als muzieklerares en allround muzikant en dit in verschillende vakgebieden, zoals het dirigeren van koren, het opstellen en uitdragen van leerprogramma’s voor scholen, het geven van notenleer en het aanleren van instrumenten (blokfluit, keyboard/piano, gitaar).

There are two grand pianos at the location in Den Haag.

For children, it is important to develop basic musical skills through Singing, Rythmique, and Ear training besides piano playing. I use one technical exercise book, the main textbook, and a theory book. Through these 3 books, students learn different aspects of music and they naturally get ready for exams and grades.

After acquiring basic skills, students study Harmony and Chord exercises too. These are useful for playing pops and jazz, and they obtain a deeper understanding of classical pieces too.

Private Piano lesson, from age 4 and above. Children can start the lesson after being able to read the numbers from 1 to 5 and the alphabet from A to G.

Advanced students who want to prepare for competitions, auditions, ABRSM, GCSE, IB exams, or the entrance exam of the conservatory.

The concert is held annually together with students of flute, violin, and composition teachers.

For the ages 1-7 years, I have group Rhythmique lessons.

Over mezelf
Vanaf mijn zesde heb ik piano onderwijs gevolgd. Ik heb klassiek piano gestudeerd aan het Conservatorium van St. Petersburg en vervolgens klassieke zang aan het Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
Tegelijk met mijn zangcarrière begeleid ik diverse koren en zangers. Ik heb jarenlange ervaring met het geven van pianoles aan zowel kinderen als aan volwassenen, voor beginners en gevorderden.

Hoe geef ik pianoles
Tijdens de les krijgen mijn leerlingen de basis van pianotechniek, muziektheorie en een kennismaking met verschillende muziekstijlen. Ik geef veel aandacht aan houding, muzikaliteit en interpretatie. Door het leren van een goede techniek krijg je vanzelf inspiratie en plezier om de mooiste pianostukken te spelen. Je leert een eigen muzieksmaak te ontwikkelen. Tijdens de les spelen we o.a. gezellig samen duo’s voor ons plezier maar ook om te leren met iemand te musiceren.

Les voor kinderen
Beginnende kinderen vanaf 6 jaar laat ik kennis maken met de piano door na te spelen en tegelijkertijd te zingen. Vervolgens stappen we snel over op pianoboeken zoals de Thompson methode. Je leert noten lezen, ritmes, de juiste pianoaanslag en houding zodat je snel je favoriete muziekstuk kunt spelen.
Wil je toelating doen voor het conservatorium of wil je in een band spelen? Ik kan je helpen bij het voorbereiden voor audities.

Les voor volwassenen
Gevorderde kinderen en volwassenen volgen een individueel programma afhankelijk van persoonlijke wensen en niveau. Plezier en geluk van muziek maken staan centraal.

Huisconcerten en podium leerling-concerten.
Tijdens de feestelijke concerten krijg jij de gelegenheid om voor anderen te spelen en verschillende muziek van andere leerlingen te horen.

Welcome to my introduction site!

My name is Marta and music has been a great love and passion for my entire life.
Singing lessons are not only an opportunity to learn singing and something new about music but also an opportunity to express emotions, forget about everyday worries, and have fun!
Through music theory lessons you can learn about the structure of music and also develop some very useful music skills such as reading music (sight-singing or sight-reading).

All students who have a specific goal in mind, but also all who do not have any specific goal in mind and want to sing or learn theory just for fun, are very welcome!

Different options for lessons that I am offering are described below and all of them can be modified and adjusted according to the wishes and needs of the student:

SINGING LESSONS FOR CHILDREN (individual or group lessons - maximum 10 students*)
Singing lessons for children is basically an integrated method that combines singing with solfeggio, developing basic music theory skills. It consists of playing musical games and singing children's songs and those developing intonation, musical hearing, musical memory, sense for pulse and rhythm, all with attention to healthy singing.

SINGING LESSONS FOR TEENAGERS AND ADULTS (individual or group lessons - maximum 10 students*)
During singing lessons, we will be searching for a deeper meaning of the story and different ways of interpretation, with attention to healthy singing techniques, pronunciation, and style. The lessons consist of breathing exercises, and vocal warm-up exercises with a specific technical goal and work on the desired repertoire - meaning of the words and story, vocal technique, pronunciation, interpretation, and style.
My specialization is in classical singing but I don’t mind working on other genres in my classes.

SIGHT SINGING LESSONS (individual or group lessons)
Intense course where you will be learning how to read music at sight. The lessons consist of sight singing only, beginning from the easiest level and gradually learning how to read more and more difficult music. You will develop skills needed for sight singing as well as a certain way of thinking appropriate for sight singing. (There is no technique of singing or interpretation involved in these lessons.)

SOLFEGGIO LESSONS (individual or group lessons, for children from 8 years old, teenagers, and adults)
In these lessons, you will learn how to bring written music to life (sight-singing), how to discover and put on paper the music you hear (musical dictation), and how to build scales, intervals, and chords. This knowledge is needed and examined in every conservatoire and music academy. For some conservatoires and academies, this is an obligatory pre-requirement and elimination factor on entrance exams. It is an inevitable part of every professional music education.

MUSIC THEORY LESSONS (individual lessons)
Music theory lessons can include, if desired: solfeggio, harmony, counterpoint, music form, analysis, and/or other music theory-related subjects. For each subject, we can make a special program, depending on the wishes and needs of the student.

COMBINED SOLFEGGIO AND SINGING LESSONS
Combined solfeggio and singing lessons are also possible for adults, as separate subjects or integrated with singing lessons. In both cases, the duration of each lesson is 90 minutes and the program is discussed and created based on the wishes and needs of the student. (A combination of individual singing lessons and a group solfeggio lesson is also possible.*)

AUDITION TRAINING AND PREPARATION FOR EXAMS (individual lessons)
Preparation for auditions concerning singing and/or music theory includes preparation for entrance exams, regular exams on conservatories, or preparation for ABRSM exams.

I teach from international method books and adjust my methods to the individual needs of each student. Taking two courses of the Alexander technique also helped me to develop an understanding of the essential connection between the body and our minds. I have been performing in various ensembles and venues around Europe and Israel, playing baroque, medieval, renaissance and contemporary music which is the vast repertoire of the recorder. I graduated from the Amsterdam Conservatory and the Royal Conservatory of the Hague. I have been teaching in various platforms for over 20 years and I adapt the lessons to your needs, wishes and level.

During our lessons I will teach you the skill set of mastering the recorder. Obtaining good technique, working on good posture and healthy breathing along side learning about the instrument and it's history.
