We will learn using the Cambridge Young Learners resources for the Cambridge Young Learners Exams.
We will focus on the Flyers exam materials and learn the basic skills of English using spoken English, reading with understanding and writing.
We will work on spoken English by learning
to use preferences adding reasoning of choices and then move onto more complex social and academic language focusing on the correct pronunciation in British Standard English.
We will ensure that we are familiar with the first 500 sight words and can read write and spell these and then look at topic words for the units we will cover.
Reading is an essential part of English language acquisition and we will read short texts focusing on understanding and comprehension of the text and developing fluency in reading.
In further lessons we will on Grammar with rules and application.

I was born in Istanbul in 1983. I started teaching Turkish while studying Turkish Language and Literature at university. I worked in a language school and at universities. I have been teaching Turkish professionally for more than 16 years. I also taught Turkish for 5 years when I was a university student. In 2018, I obtained a TESOL certificate and also began teaching English.

I teach English for the A1 and A2 levels.

The workbook offers many exercises for homework or revision, and I support the book with my own authentic materials. I also use an interactive board that you can view anytime, and you can edit it as well. Repetition-based speaking practice plays an important role in my lessons.

I speak English well, and a bit of Italian, and I have also studied Persian and German grammar. I am interested in literature.
