English can be a difficult subject for many people. I aim to help students understand their material and learn the basics of English essay writing and assessments.

I will cover methods of study, ways to approach their coursework, as well as providing structures and notes that can be referred back to.
Zusätzliche Informationen
I recommend students bring a laptop or notebook (if in the case of a notebook I recommend bringing a fresh one) as well as their English class-work.

Über mich
My name is Everitt Adair, I am currently studying BA English at Edinburgh Napier University.

English is and always will be one of my greatest passions, whether it be creative or critical in nature. I've consistently run English-based groups specialising in creative writing.

I also have experience working with children and teens in high school when I volunteered in my school's Additional Support Needs department, helping the students there with reading comprehension and information retention.

I also briefly did work helping the first-years with their transitions into high school as well as tutoring my younger siblings.

When tutoring I like to focus on understanding above all else as that is generally what most students struggle with. I do this by using the first aspect of the session learning about the student's issues and needs in regards to the content they are learning.

In my experience, many students struggle with RUAE (Reading, Understanding, Analysis and Evaluation), so I will briefly cover the different question types and how to approach them. I will also cover the set-text essay though that may require more than one session so that I can read the text myself and come up with an approach to the essay.

I will try and help with the Portfolio writing (i.e. Creative, Persuasive, Personal...) as well by helping to workshop ideas and helping the students grow more confident in their writing.

I recommend students have Grammarly installed on their laptop prior to sessions, if they're using a laptop.
