Hello everyone,

My name is Tianyi. I'm a Bachelor's student at Koninklijk Conservatorium in The Hague, specializing in Baroque violin.
I come from China, started playing the violin for 15 years, and switched to baroque violin for one and a half years.
I can teach children and adults at the beginner and intermediate levels.
The material I am using is Suzuki, together with some scale exercises and etudes.
I can focus on basic technique training and gradually add small pieces or duos during lessons.

I am a young, dynamic, and qualified teacher (Master in Music pedagogy & Master in Performance) giving:
Violin lessons for beginners and advanced students, adults, and children as early as age 4.

I love to play and to teach my instrument. I play in different Orchestras, classical chamber music, and I improvise in contemporary music with body movement. I worked a lot on the body position while playing, which I think is very important in order to release tension in the muscles and feel freer with the instrument.
I am very excited to share the knowledge I have with my instrument with you!

My teaching method I tailor to the needs of my students.
- In my lessons, you can learn to improve your technique to express yourself with ease
- I can teach you how to play from scratch
- you can learn how to improvise
- you can learn to play your favorite tunes, pieces, songs
- I can teach you how to play different styles of music
- I give you the proper exercises, etudes, and scales to improve your technique, tone quality, posture, and hand dexterity
- you can learn how to relax yourself and treat the violin as an extension of your body
- I prepare for the ABRSM exams
- teaching in English, Dutch, German, Polish
- teaching can take place at my home studio or at your place

I'm a professional violinist and teacher, who graduated from conservatories in Gdansk, Maastricht, and Brussels. I'm also a violin teacher at The British School in the Netherlands in Den Haag. If you are looking for a violin teacher, you just found him in my person:) I propose individual methods of teaching, not based on any specific school, but open to the wishes and level of any single student. The most important thing is to have pleasure in the process of learning how to play the violin. My motto in teaching violin are words of my teacher, the legend of violin, Wanda Wilkomirska: "You can do something wrong technically, but always you can play beautifully." Being a soloist myself I always remember these words also when I teach. My aim as a teacher is to show you how to have joy and comfort in playing the violin to enjoy it further on in performing for an audience.

Personalized exercises and attention to personal development. You will learn in a relaxed, but energetic way all techniques of right and left hand. Vibrato, sound, dynamics, scales, beautiful violin sonatas and concertos as well as music theory. Develop your musical skills on a broader scale and learn a natural approach to violin playing.

I am a graduated music teacher with German degrees in music pedagogy, Artistic Studies (K.A.), and Historical Informed Practice. I shape my lessons in the most dynamic way, often accompanying the Piano. I also like to follow the musical taste of my students and I am qualified to give a well-grounded technical instrumental formation.

- Instrumental technique and vast repertoire: classical music, jazz, traditional; orchestra, and soloist music.

- A highly performant method for intermediate and advanced music students (instrumental music and theoretical subjects).
- Chamber music coaching, historical performance, composition, harmony, stylistic analysis; ABRSM and TRINITY international examinations; Music theory - from beginners to advanced/university level; GCSE, IGCSE, A Levels. I don't use one specific method since I feel every person function differently I i like to design something personal what works the best.

Anything that is part of a fundamental understanding of music, e.g. music theory, solfège, rhythm and piano will be taught. For me it is very important that the lessons is specifically made for the students regarding content and length. If asked violin and ballett can be taught as well. In that way the necessary aspects of a well rounded musician can be built up.
