Cognitive Psychology - The psychological processes which pin human behaviours.

Includes: Cognitive and Social Approaches, Social categorisation.
This explains the behavioural patterns influencing compliance and "fitting in."
We will look at a few key studies psychologists have undertaken to further understand behaviour patterns regarding compliance.

Applications of key studies - Using the G.R.A.V.E.S technique (will be explained in class), how informative is the study and can it be applied to different ages, ethnicities etc.

Schemas - (to be taught.) How are schemas created using stereotypes? Schemas related to phobias, re-training the brain using schemas. Don't worry, I won't be re-training your brain, we will look at key studies regarding it.

Why choose my class?

I do not issue mandatory homework. I will suggest tasks you can complete (no essays) which will help further concrete the lesson in your memory, but if you understand the lesson then it is perfectly acceptable to not do the "homework."

Psychology is a subject classed as a fundamental social science of the brain. It is used to develop our cognitive, behavioural and social aspects as humans.

Our whole world can be viewed through the eyes of psychology which is why I'm extremely passionate to tutor psychology and encourage others to share the same passion.

I have studied psychology A level for two years and received a high pass grade at a well renowned college in Manchester, United Kingdom.

I have achieved a high 2:1 grade in a Bachelor's of science degree (with honours) in Educational psychology at Manchester Metropolitan University.

My tutoring course will include help with GCSE or A level basic psychology and exam technique used to help pass exams and mocks with a High pass (A*-C). I can cover biopsychology, cognitive psychology, behavioural, procedural and social. I also will cover the main studies and psychologists needed to be studied and implemented in to exams such as Freud and Bowlby etc.
I have many recourses approved by major exam boards such as AQA and Edexcel and will cover main topics that are likely to come up in exams.
