Later my position developed into employment where I would run after school clubs to help the children build confidence and talk about their emotions, make fun programs for summer camps, and of course, I continued with tutoring many children

Girls Do Code is an organization in Slovenia that aims to get more women into STEM, they believe that this interest has to start in childhood and therefore they offer lessons in Computer Science to over 300 girls. This cause was something that I thought was incredibly important and so I became a volunteer for their organization. This entailed teaching a group of 10 girls the basics of Computer Science in a fun and creative way and was a very rewarding experience.
Through my training for Girls Do Code, I was certified by Microsoft as an Innovative Educator.

I currently work as a Maths teaching assistant at an international school in the Netherlands where I work with children struggling with maths in small groups.

I provide lessons for the Nt2 Staatsexamen and Dutch Nationalisation exam (Inburgering examen)and Business Dutch for ex-pats and people who want to learn everyday Dutch. In the citizenship exam course, students learn about history, geography and basic vocabulary which are the contents of the exam. They learn how to respond to basic questions. Besides preparatory lessons for (Inburgering examen ,citizenship exam ,I teach Business Dutch( Zakelijk Nederlands) to expats. Online lessons are delivered through Google meet and Ms Teams and other online platforms. The lessons are conducted online as well as at a location in The Hague. Both private and group lessons are available.

I take pride in saying that all my students who I prepared for Dutch exams passed their exams with high scores:)

Hallo ouders en leerlingen/studenten,

Ik zal mij even kort voorstellen. Ik ben Saphira, 33 jaar en mama van 2 zoontjes en samen met mijn partner wonen we in Wateringen.

Sinds kort na mijn middelbare school-periode geef ik bijles in de vakken Economie, Wiskunde, Rekenen en Bedrijfseconomie. Dat is nu ruim 15 jaar!

Ik vind het onwijs leuk om leerlingen te kunnen helpen met deze vakken, waardoor ze meer zekerheid krijgen en de stof een stuk beter gaan begrijpen en daarmee dus beter voorbereid zijn op hun examens/tentamens.

Naast het verzorgen van bijlessen, heb ik een poosje gewerkt als Examentrainer voor het misschien wel bekende Lyceo. Dit heb ik met veel plezier én resultaat gedaan.

Daarnaast is het ook mogelijk om te ondersteunen bij financiële vakken op het MBO/HBO (alles omtrent Financiën en Fiscaliteiten).

Zelf heb ik een VWO diploma en een HBO accountancy diploma en werk ik als financial controller, dus genoeg affiniteit met alles omtrent cijfertjes.

I am an interactive teacher of 5 years experience. My way of teaching is friendly and open, but clear and direct. I use lots of materials and interactive simulations and conceptual learning where possible. My abilities in education are incredibly strong and getting better every time I tutor. Given the previous situation with Covid. Online teaching has become second nature and I am happy to help your learn online as well.

In order to teach a student effectively, it cannot simply be a matter of taking notes or going over the same material again and again. De bijlessen sluiten altijd aan op jouw wensen. Dat kan variëren van huiswerkbegeleiding tot assistentie bij ontleden, uitspraak, lees-, spreek - en schrijfvaardigheid, spelling en grammatica. Aansluiting op de leermethoden van school (boeken, oefeningen, huiswerk) of thema's uit jouw werkkring zijn daarbij handig.

Ik ben zeer flexibel in tijd en kan overdag, 's avonds of in het weekend. De lessen vinden plaats bij mij thuis in Voorburg of bij jou in de directe omgeving van Voorburg. Indien je dat wilt kunnen de lesuren (klokuren) worden verlengd naar bijvoorbeeld anderhalf uur per keer, wat vooral handiger is bij een langere reistijd.
