Hey there, I’m Francisco, a Mexican student of Literature and Linguistics. As such, I have a good grasp on not only our culture but the way it expresses itself on the language we use, and I try to integrate that into my classes; which are usually half Spanish and half Mexican culture, and why we speak the way we do. I have a few months of experience so far, but I’m passionate about giving classes and helping people communicate the way they need to, as well as learn about my country; also, I’m eager to keep teaching since its something that rewards me in more than one level.
As a rule, I like to start with your needs, and your knowledge. The sum of those two factors then allows me to trace a path for our learning.
It will be challenging, and sometimes there will be no other choice left than to memorize because Spanish is a complex language; however. I like to use different methods to teach French to students. It can be through songs, drama, role play or videos. I also very often use situations close to the student's experience, such as describing places they have been or talking about what they have experienced. At the same time, I teach the grammar rules to the student. I now live in regions where French has been spoken for over 30 years. My name is Dani and I am Mexican. I always ask my students about their specific goals and their preferred way of learning a language. In my classes I like to take a conversational approach, but this depends entirely on the needs of my students. I use different books with different didactic material, mostly Aula Plus and Bitacora. I also try to practice all skills: talking, writing and listening. If the student wants it, I leave homework, which I correct during the week before the next lesson, so that we can make the most of the lesson time. I share a word or phrase of the week with my students to build a useful vocabulary. Teaching is my passion. I feel motivated by the progress of my students, which I believe also keeps them motivated. German and Spanish are my native languages and I speak fluent English, I also speak fluent Dutch (with a little accent). Therefore, I can explain concepts in all these languages. There are two types of approaches to acquiring knowledge:
