English Present Tense - Learn to Speak English in the Present Tense Using Regular Verbs

Designed for beginner ESL students, this lesson introduces the present tense. The lesson begins with a an explanation of the grammar, detailing how to structure the tense. You will learn how to form positive and negative sentences as well as how to form questions in the present tense. Learning is reinforced with a fun multiple choice exercise, a picture round which challenges you to identify actions shown in a picture, as well as sentence completion tasks. The lesson ends with multiple discussion questions which encourages students to use the present tense in a natural way.

Hello! My name is Alice and I was born and raised near Seattle, Washington. I have lived in many parts of the United States, including Colorado, North Carolina, Arizona, and now Texas. I have also lived in Bolivia in South America and learned to speak Spanish while living there. I know what it is like to learn a new language while living in a new place and adapting to a different culture.
I love languages! I have loved learning new languages (French and Spanish) and I love sharing my knowledge of English with my students. I am a natural teacher and adapt my teaching style to match my student's best learning mode. I have taught not only English, but also piano and music for more than 20 years so I have lots of experience working with students of all ages.
HOBBIES & INTERESTS
I enjoy playing piano and keyboard. I also enjoy travel, camping, swimming, pickleball, good movies and mystery novels.
