Laten we eerst onthouden waar we het over hebben. Muziek is inherent aan alle menselijke samenlevingen en is dat ook altijd geweest. Het heeft vele rollen en is een zeer krachtige taal. Het is een universum op zich...

Muziek, en de viool in het bijzonder, brengt me dagelijks enorme vreugde. In feite is vreugde, naar mijn mening, de grootste bron van motivatie die ons op aarde gegeven is. Dus, heel logisch, plaats ik het in het hart van mijn lessen.

Het zou een illusie zijn om te doen alsof viool leren spelen een eenvoudige zaak is! Dus accepteer ik de uitdaging, die vaak verwaarloosd wordt, om er alles aan te doen om mijn plezier in het vioolspelen over te brengen. Trouwens, zoals ik net al schreef, in het Frans zeg je niet "travailler le violon", je zegt "jouer du violon". Dus ook al is de weg zwaar, ik zal er alles aan doen om het leuk te maken.

Mijn lessen zijn aangepast aan alle niveaus, leeftijden en profielen.

Samen met elke leerling streef ik ernaar de meest geschikte toetsen te vinden, zodat iedereen zo effectief mogelijk en vooral met plezier leert!

Ik hecht veel belang aan het juiste gebruik en het welzijn van het lichaam. Vioolspelen omvat niet alleen het cerebrale en het emotionele, het is ook een complexe lichamelijke oefening! Bij degenen die al les hebben gehad, probeer ik bewust of onbewust aangeleerde slechte gewoontes te vervangen door goede, en bij beginners direct de juiste automatismen te installeren.

Ik geef individuele lessen. Maar soms breng ik leerlingen samen om samen te leren spelen en in het openbaar op te treden. Het bijwonen van andermans les kan ook heel nuttig zijn om een beter begrip te krijgen van de verschillende mechanismen van de viool.

Je joue du violon depuis l'âge de 7 ans. J'ai appris le violon en suivant des leçons parallèlement à l'académie et en cours privés avec une professeure qui utilisait la méthode Suzuki. La combinaison de ces deux types d'apprentissages m'a permis de bénéficier d'un bagage technique d'une part et de découvrir un vaste répertoire d'autre part. Durant mon adolescence, j'ai également participé à de nombreux stages de violon classique mais également de violon folk et même de Bluegrass. Vers la fin de mes secondaires, je me suis décidé à poursuivre des études supérieures du violon classique. J'ai donc intégré la classe d'Igor Tkatchouk en tant que jeune talent à l'IMEP (Namur). Ensuite, j'ai étudié à l'Institut Lemmens (Leuven) auprès de professeurs tels que Wim De Moor, Nico Baltussen, Lilia Umnova. J'y obtiens un bachelier et un master et me spécialise en musique de chambre. Actuellement, j'étudie la didactique du violon et de la musique au Conservatoire Royal d'Anvers.

Enseigner représente pour moi avant tout, transmettre la joie inépuisable que me procure la musique. Le contact humain est très important pour moi dans l'enseignement du violon. Il s'agit donc dans un premier temps de rencontrer une nouvelle personne et de découvrir une partie de nos univers respectifs afin, ensuite, de lui élargir ses horizons. Si mon enseignement se base principalement sur ma propre expérience en tant qu'élève et en tant que professeur de violon, j'essaye de diversifier mon type d'enseignement et de m'adapter un maximum aux besoins et au souhaits de chacun de mes élèves en partant de leurs propres capacités. Mes cours s'adresse à toute personne désireuse d'apprendre le violon ou de se perfectionner comme violoniste. Je suis donc ouvert à tous les types d'élèves, tous les âges ainsi que tous les niveaux.

I am a professional violinist in modern violin. At the moment I am doing a specialization in baroque violin and early music. Therefore in my lessons we can work repertoire from the XIV century until XX century, delving into the specific characteristics of each period. I can also help to prepare the violinist who wants to do the entrance exams for the baroque violin.
In addition, I have also taken several courses in methods and didactics and I have also worked with students of all ages, so I have a lot of experiences in the process of starting the violin as a new instrument. I know classical music in its different styles from the 16th century to the 20th century, and I also have experience in the interpretation and teaching of Latin American music and improvisation.
